Which Rham tiddy?

I think that’s the one where I saw Pats OL (#65 iirc) in the middle of the hole looking for work and not finding anybody to block…
2nd one

I think we can extend him after next year? After his 3rd season I'm pretty sure, you can extend the contract, and he's still on the rookie deal for year 4 and option for year 5.
I believe that's correct.

A few day after thoughts:

The Good
- Even if the score were 23-20 the other way around, while it would be bittersweet, I think we would all be feeling pretty good about the outcome.
- You can see that the team is not only bought in but beginning to believe in themselves. A lot of guys on that roster have endured some awful times the past 1-2 seasons.
- Vrabel has his own touch on personnel that seems like a blend of a "Player's coach" and BB's ultimate disciplinarian style. Rham going from fumbling yet again to scoring 2 TDs is a sign of that. Borregales hitting a clutch kick. Though Vrabel will definitely deal with the two bonehead DTs (Pharms and Farmer?) and their egregious late hits.

Bucket of cold water:
- Despite the win I feel there is still a gap between us and the Bills. A lot went the right way for us to eke out a 3 point win. Two Bills turnovers in the red zone. Drake Maye making every statistically improbable completion. Bills fans moaning about them losing the game rather than the Pats winning it is a familiar sentiment from the dynasty days when our Pats would drop an odd game to the Jets or Dolphins.
I think the only real gap is from Josh Allen and James Cook. Otherwise their roster is pretty mid, maybe not even better than ours.

I like our players and coaches more. Maye isn’t Allen but he outplayed him last night.

I was tooting this horn during the offseason and posters thought I was over rating a team that was 4-13. Take Allen and Cook away and the Pats roster edges them out and it's really not even close. I'd only give the Bills the OL and I'm being generous.

4. Maye had no TDs, but Henry sort of let him down in the EZ. That OK, because the Pats still have lots to correct even though they won. Henry will be looking for the ball earlier next time.
I don’t think Henry should be faulted for being tangled up with the DB coming off the line. Perfectly legal but he couldn’t get free and start thinking about catching the ball in time.

I think Maye could’ve waited have waited another tick or two longer before throwing especially when he saw Henry tied up. He wasn’t under any duress, could probably have continued rolling and even run it in.

It would’ve been all or nothing, giving up any chance of trying the FG, but realistically snapping the ball for a goal line play with 4 seconds on the clock is pretty much all or nothing. Not really likely they’ll have any time left, and they were very lucky to have the clock stop with 1 second left.

It really points up Vrabel’s clock mismanagement letting it run down so far before calling TO. And then right away trying to get another second put back on, like “oops I didn’t mean to run it down *that* much”.

Gronk got extended after year 2 (June 2012, drafted April 2010). Not sure what the rules are now, though. Not like Maye'd take that contract though. If Purdy can get a purdy contract like that, Maye's gonna get Payed.
As part of the 2011 CBA, the rules were changed so extensions could only happen for drafted players after their 3rd year. This was to prevent teams from working around the newly instituted rookie cap, and having players holding out for an extension and big money after 1 year. Players drafted prior to 2011 were excluded from this since the rookie cap didn’t apply to them, and therefore Gronk (a 2010 draftee) was able to get extended early.

But when the ball is in the air, the defender can't knock Henry like Milano did. Now, you're not going to see that called a lot, but it is illegal.

That's disgraceful. I really had no idea just how insecure and petty Belichick is.
Read the thread. This didn't happen. There are tweets about Maye before this tweet, they tweeted about Maye after this tweet. He has more tweets than other UNC players. For instance, Javonte Williams had a great game yesterday.

I adored McDermott. We bald guys even have secret handshakes.

But he’s crossing the line. Acting like a c-unt. I’m disappointed.

I wish he could be strapped in a chair and be forced to hear the Book of Mormon for 41 hours. This is one of the worst punishments I know of that doesn’t involve flames or scolding oil.
He do something? What’d I miss here?

After watching the game again, Maye waved Diggs deep on the roll out deep completion. I was pretty impressed that Maye had the awareness to direct traffic while rolling out. Maye is so much further along in his development than I expected. I optimistically claimed the Pats were a 10 win team this year, but now I actually believe it.

Booty needs to be extended this off season, he has become very clutch and is getting open quite often. I read that he has 11 first down receptions and he only has 13 or 14 receptions on the year.

And their poor play calling (man they hate their OC and HC) and of course the refs gave us the game.

At least their players are willing to be honest.

He should try it with five turnovers, LOL!
That reminds me of an old SNL skit.

How many times are the Chiefs going to hold with no call?

When Maye stays balanced on his throws, he's great. He's stepped up his game since the Raiders and Steelers. Not sure what tweak they did, but it's working. He just needs to continue that going forward.

13 Receptions on the year. 11 for 1st downs.

The only thing about Boutte is that he's getting hit almost immediately. He only has 9 YAC of his 208 total yards. Hopefully, they can get him some more routes with Diggs doing so much more. Same with Henry and Hooper.

If it's a torn ACL, the amount of pain from the pressure changes would be excruciating. But, maybe with the technology now, they can put him on a drip or something. *shrug*.
Don’t know if you’ve torn an ACL. I have. Pain is excruciating no matter what. Leg will be immobilized, straight out. Sitting in a car won’t work. Sitting in an airplane might work if you’ve got three to four feet clear in front of the seat to keep the leg extended and elevated.

I’d say there are two practical options:
Surface transportation in a properly outfitted medical transportation vehicle, probably ambulance but not necessarily.
Air medevac. Pressure changes would be insignificant given existing pain anyway, plus cabin pressurization might be controllable. It’s normally 8,000’ or so, not really extreme anyway.

Either way definitely medicated heavily, maybe pills but more likely a drip.

Well, we'll at least be in the mix making the season relevant to more than playing for draft position. Even if we don't make it, the program is finally 'moving forward'.
Time to start facing the reality that our draft position next year might be pretty poor
