Otc says wed save 17.5m by releasing him next year. I think the best route would be to use a mid round pick on a replacement and let preseason play out for both. if the new guy can step in you get rid of onwenu and have an extra 17.5 to use elsewhere. If not you keep him and revisit rg in 2027.

Sure, take a better than average stating RT and replace him by a 4th rounder and just expect him to start and do well.

I AGREE that Onwenu might go, but only if we find a free agent seasoned veteran to replace him.

It is only Y3 for Gonzo, he is here for 5 years so he can be signed in the next 12 months - no hurry. This is Y2 for Maye on a 5 year deal - no hurry. This is Y1 for Campbell on a 5 year deal so Campbell is resigned in 2030. I think you are getting a bit ahead of the program.

Onwenu is not bad and young so if the contract can be renegotiated it is a good idea. Ideally add a weight clause and workout incentives to Onwenu's contract . Onwenu is a dependable guy, not too many injuries, which is a positive too. I don't know who else is in the OL free agent market at what price.

I would like to pick a dominant OL every year in the draft. There are a bunch of safeties in the draft. Cowden did a great job in 2025 so I will trust him until he screws up.
As long as Drake continues on his arch of looking like a franchise QB.. we can withstand some misses in the draft not that we want to do but.. but your a smart guy you understand... what I mean. Yes, Cowden has done a great job, and I expect the combination of Vrabel, Cowden, Streicher, Highsmith to continue.. ( notice I left out a guy, name rhymes with push)

Safety definitely as unless Dugger restructure he will be gone after this season..

Who the hell rhymes with push?

Rg you mean i assume. And I never said to EXPECT it but maybe you find another jared wilson and save yourself some money. If not you keep onwenu. We should at least be drafting depth at guard.

Id only get rid on onwenu right off the bat and explore a fa signing if he finishes out average or if theres a guy Vrabel loves who is going to cost significantly less.

Yes and same with vederian lowe.. our tackles were turnstiles. Speaking of Buffalo how are you feeling about this game what's your gut telling you?

I have buffalo winning, I don’t think we’re quite ready yet to take them down and then theres Josh Allen. But it should be close.

Yeah... I think I'm leaning towards that as well. However we should walk away knowing we can compete with them.

Membou is playing RT, but at high level according to everyone but you.
Why do u think he's disappointing, you are literally the only person who's said this.
That aged well. Until he soiled his bedding in the game today.

Can any of these guys play RB?

Asking for a friend...

The Jets gave up 9 sacks against the Broncos - and that's as Membou comes off his 4 penalty/5 pressure game against the Cowboys

"Disappointing" is being generous, and I don't think there's a lot of praise being given to the Jets OL these days.

I'm exceptionally thankful we didn't take Membou at #4 or trade back to pick him up. I don't think he'd be doing better at LT than he is at RT.

I never wanted him, I was always in the Campbell camp.
Simply stated (on 05-Oct) that by all reports, Membou was playing well at RT.
