Will Campbell Watch

What’s telling about him at a young age when he let up those 2 sacks
He learned from them and battened down the hatches
He’s another smart and mentally tough player to go along with Drake
Having a future franchise QB and LT with those qualities is very rare in the modern NFL
I also believe we have a Coach that will be here along time and be successful
3 Cornerstone pieces in place. Possibly the most important 3

Agree completely. The 3 most difficult positions to fill are filled with really good choices for long term success. And all 3 are just going to keep getting better. This team is headed up and it's going to be fun watching them. There will be down moments along the way, but the long term projection is really good.

I may have been a little drunk... sorry for the spam fellas...

NOT SORRY about the Subject, I think Campbell is going to be good.
Just for smashin' it over the head as retribution for before the draft.
I'm fkn FAR from a Saint.l, if 1 sat next to me she'd have to move from the heat...or possibly the stink of my ass . I never can tell when hotties walk away....

Or maybe he was just trying to replicate what he did for Brady when he was the QB coach for Brady's 2nd year. He also wanted guys he'd worked with before. He clearly shouldn't have given them coordinator roles but that doesn't mean you have to assume his motivations weren't pure.

Listen to Brady talk about how important that was too him.

I wish @Ian had a 6-SBTrophy GIF for a post-video like this.

Awesome explanation from Tom. I can think of a couple posters who should watch it; but I fear their heads would explode and then we would never hear from them again. LOL.

When Campbell goes back home to Louisiana to play the Saints, he's going to bring an extra dollop of nastiness. I'm really looking forward to that one.

Especially if Chase Young is on the field for the Saints. He has missed all the games thus far with a calf injury.

But he has elite physical traits even if he has been hampered by injuries his entire career.

A potential classic matchup. Campbell V. Young.

His ability to stabilize the line has been great for the development of Maye. Watching Maye run around like a nut as the line collapsed seemingly every play last year was no bueno.

If we can control the line against Buff we have a chance.
I hear people say they are way more talented than us in all 3 phases and we aren’t close yet.

I don’t see that.

I think their stadium, the fans the crowd noise will be the biggest advantage they have.

I wish our fans were like that.
Kraft should pipe in crowd noise.

One more as good as this draft and we’re in the NFL contender business.
Two more equally good and we’re in the let’s talk dynasty business.

It was that good.
I luv our draft class, but far too early to talk about about being this good.
Campbell looks great. Loved the pick and he's proving all his doubters wrong.
Henderson is oozing potential, but hasn't really broken out in a game yet.
Wilson looks good in a very small sample size.
Williams hasn't done anything yet.
Woodson looks promising, but has a ways to go.
Farmer has been decent in a very small sample size.
Swinson obv has a ways to go to joining the active roster (if it's even ours).
Kicker, not sure yet.
Bryant, not sure yet.

I think we may look back in a year or 2, and say "it was that good", but it feels pretty early to say that now, jury is still out on a lot of our picks.

RE: That Brady video.

Yeah, but Tom himself was also unique in his learning capability. PLUS, it wasn't like he was JUST getting the a former DC's insights. He was also working with Charlie Weis as his OC. He still had Drew years 1 and 2 teaching him the ropes.

IF Belichick was truly thinking that way, that a DC could be an OC because he was able to teach Tom... that is another HUGE error of judgement. Mac was not Tom in terms of learning. He didn't have a veteran starter ahead of him he could learn from for over a year. He didn't have a real OC or even a QB coach in his second. So.....I don't think that's any better a take on what Belichick was thinking. Unless you want him to look like he's lost it as opposed to just being stubborn.

Again we know it to be a mistake just trying to explain it in ways other than "Bill has a massive ego" or whatever BS haters use to explain it.

Yes Brady situation was different. But Mac also had the benefit of a season under his belt and ten wins. He also tried to split the duties between Patricia and Judge.

I think the biggest difference was one happened by choice and the other by chance. I'm guessing Drew and Brady could have been upset like Mac if it happened in the off-season with intent rather than an unfortunate way of dealing with a death.
