Campbell is not a "generational" prospect (man I dislike that label). I'm sure he'll have his struggles lining up against great opponents. Like with Maye he should get even better.

If you were to use college scouting terms (I think Campbell was an actual 5 star in high school) but his pro potential would be a pretty solid 4-star.

He's not Jonathan Ogden, but he's not Verdarian Lowe either. He is improving, and already playing pretty well as a rookie. He's better than Matt Light/Nate Solder as rookies.

Pretty interesting that a lot of this year's Tackle draft class is panning out.

I'm surprised mostly that they're all pretty much panning out. I think it was 5 or 6 that I thought could be starters, but you never really expect them all to pan out.

I was one of the "wait and see" guys. Patricia had worked a year on the offense previously. Judge was a back-up in college, but saw the field as the holder and Punt Protector.

Bill put too much faith in both of them. Patricia told Bill that he could learn Shanahan's Outside Zone scheme. He clearly wasn't able to. Bourne getting into it with Matt and telling Matt he didn't know what he was doing is what led to Bourne being dog-housed. But Matt is to blame as well because he chose to not rely on 2 players that had knowledge of the Shanahan Outside Zone scheme in Bourne and Trent Brown.

Judge came back from the Giants a major head case. His not being able to stick with his assignment caused lots of friction on the team until Bill stepped in and had Judge only helping with Special Teams.

There are some people who said it was a bad idea to have Patricia and Judge on Offense. They were right.

Anybody have the stats on how many snaps he played against Crosby, Bradley Chubb, TJ Watt and whoever on the Panthers? I see he's given up 2 sacks on the season with one to Crosby I believe.

As of right now, he looks like a way better prospect than Matt Light and Solder.

It wasn't me, but there were only a few I remember that were set on Hunter or Carter. Many were concerned about the arms as there was a thread about it. Lastly, I do remember people wanted the dreaded trade down. And I forgot about Mason Graham. Hoarding defense will always backfired and glad NE didn't fall into that trap. 49ers are the latest team finding that out.

So far he's having no problem and has faced two of the best rushers NFL already.

During the run up to any draft, lots of us discuss the different options. Having an open discussion does not mean anybody was against Campbell. We like to chat. You are grossly overreacting. If draft discussions (2026 draft discussions are going on right now) upset you, you might mute the threads to avoid a stroke.
