It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Yes Williams offers some of what Lemon does, but Lemon might be even better. As I said, I'd be looking for a slot/Z rotation of those three and yes, McDaniels should be playing them. Lemon's height worries me and I may have gone a little overboard in my praise of him but I genuinely think he's someone who can change a game in an instant with that explosiveness and I've found our offence to be a little static and predictable through the first three games. I hope that changes.Isn't that what we want to see from Kyle Williams?
I'd really like to see what Williams and Chism can do, don't want another playmaker sitting inactive behind ho-hum veterans. Happy to add another eventually, but not if they're going to sit.
The issue is that the coaching staff seem to love Hollins and Boutte, and to be fair, they've been fine, but include Diggs and it leaves no place for Chism and Williams. But we do need a more dynamic offence.I hope it changes, too.
I like what I've seen of Lemon. Very electric playmaker. I'm just frustrated that we seem to have drafted some potentially dynamic playmakers only to have them sit while we run a static and predictable offense.
I'm ok with growing pains, not so much with sticking with the status quo when its obviously less than desired. Ok upgrading if necessary, but can't really assess players sitting on bench, or worse.

I assume the offense will be more dynamic as soon as Maye is processing things a bit more quickly. Maye just turned 23. It is tough to teach the QB and WRs at the same time, so Hollins and Diggs add a veteran presence.I hope it changes, too.

Elijah Sarratt v Illinois cut up.
He's a good Mack Hollins replacement should they go in that direction.Quick feet. Tries to block downfield. Good size.
Malachi Fields, impossible to stop as an end zone threat at 7'4"Will be interesting to see if Brazzell can sustain it.
There are some interesting big WR options, likely at all 3 days of the draft:
- Denzel Boston, Washington. 6'5" 209#
- Carnell Tate, Ohio St. 6'3" 195#
- Ja'Kobi Lane, USC. 6'4" 300#
- Chris Bell, Louisville. 6'2" 220#
- Chris Brazzell, Tennessee. 6'5" 200#
- Elijah Sarratt, Indiana. 6'2" 213#
- Bryce Lance, N. Dakota St. 6'3" 209#
- Nyck Harbor, S. Carolina. v6'5" 235#
- Nic Anderson, LSU. 6'5" 207#
- Dane Okey, Nebraska. 6'3" 210#
- Eric McAlister, TCU. 6'3" 205#
- Duce Robinson, Florida St. 6'6" 223#
- Chase Roberts, BYU. 6'4" 210#
- Malachi Fields, Notre Dame. 7'4" 222#
so so. 13 catches for 197 yards and 1 TD. Has a 65.2 PFF receiving grade.Going back to the initial post in this thread, how has Chris Bell been doing this season? Very intriguing guy.
3 games, tepid competition. 2 blowouts, probably wasn't playing much in the 2nd half.so so. 13 catches for 197 yards and 1 TD. Has a 65.2 PFF receiving grade.
Compare that to:
Makai Lemon - 89.2 grade
Kevin Coleman - Missouri - 87.7
Chris Brazzell - 85.2
Denzel Boston - 83.6
Jordan Tyson - 80.8
That will be why Dane Brugler had him WR 2.I have to say, for a non-WR guy I'm impressed with the few clips I've watched of Chris Bell:
- Very quick and elusive for a big guy
- Flexibility at the X and Z position
- Gets in and out of his breaks quickly
- Good with contested catches
- Punishes defenders
- Breaks a lot of tackles and good YAC
Looks like he could probably rush the passer, too.
I asked both ChatGPT and grok for player comparisons and both gave AJ Brown as their first comparison.A WR who beats the crap out of defenders is my kind of WR!
