What are you complaining about? Keeping him or cutting him? Some are going to their graves defending BB: hope they rest in peace.

He actually had 5 catchesAgain, he has more receiving yards than anyone on the Patriots.
Yes, sadly for him he will ONLY be a key third or fourth member of the KC receiving corps. He will absolutely not be a solid 2/3. He is a fast guy who is not particularly game-speed fast and has zero suddenness. Aside from his awesome catch last night, his hands and contested catch ability are mediocre. His route running looks like it may have taken a step forward up to average. JAG. He is one in a long line of JAGs who have made plays and popped here or there over the years.
Edit: also, once the rest of the Chiefs receiving core is back, TT will go back to rarely seeing the field and rightfully so.
Those things go hand and hand. They tried to seize control (which they never should have done) and it made things worse. When Kraft fired Belichick he cited Belichick having too much control over all football operations and it being unfeasible to take control from him. You can't use it both ways where you use Kraft's words to say the supposed collaboration absolve Belichick and also then ignore that he thought Belichick had too much control when he fired him.
The reality is "the collaboration" is just a smokescreen to take some critciism off Belichick drafting.
Even if you accept it
1. At some level Bill Belichick was involved and a major part of the collaboration.
2. He was drafting very poorly years before that.
wish what you will.Looks to me like Thornton is part of the problem, not the solution.
With Smith-Shuster and Thornton as the starting WR, Mahomes currently has his worst completion percentage of his career (under 60%) and worst ratings. The Chiefs are 1-2 because their offense is under performing at 20 points per game on average. Thornton as a 50% catch ratio, which is bad, but in line with previous seasons.
Chances are, once Rice and Worthy returns, Thornton will become a good candidate to be cut in order to make place for another player at a position of needs.
Good players drafted = all the credit to Belichick
Bad players drafted = it's the collaboration

This was the most reasonable post you made on the subject in a long timeThose things go hand and hand. They tried to seize control (which they never should have done) and it made things worse.
From my standpoint I don't use it to absolve any draft choices it's about more than that. And it's really just evidence of a schizophrenicly run franchise. They let Brady walk and then never really gave Bill the full backing to rebuild.
Some mistakes were made by Kraft, plenty by Bill, and some just happenstance of trying to rebuild and resetting things. Bottom line is things weren't done very smoothly and it hurt everyone and there plenty of blame and scapegoating all around.
Kraft isn't even really to be blamed either it was more than fair for him to want to start thinking about post Bill. Just tough timing to watch Brady go, then see the end of Bill and not think they should get ready for that. With the hindsight we have now it's foolish not to acknowledge that certain aspects of this obviously existed (look no further than Mayo's succession contract) and equally as foolish not to acknowledge that it's in direct conflict of Bill's rebuild. Draft picks aside this was not a cohesive management team like the previous 20 years. Again this isn't about absolving or blaming, to quote a great man it is what it was.
PS I don't mean to over play this either it was very subtle and not some sort of utter chaos or anything. Just clearly some things weren't done cohesively and we're still hurting because of it.
I don't wish anything. I just find it ridiculous that a player is seemingly gloating about his recent performances while his unit is underperforming.wish what you will.
It seems that Shuster and Thornton are OK as #3 or #4 receivers. At his price and age, Thornton is a very reasonable #5.
My stance has always been a very reasonable one. At its simplest form my stance is thatThis was the most reasonable post you made on the subject in a long time
A and C fully agree. My stance has always been a very reasonable one. At its simplest form my stance is that
A) nothing 19-present undoes any of the great things he did
B) I feel he deserved one more crack at a rebuild with that top 4 pick before we started what could be a revolving door of replacement coaches
C) The Brady v Bill is the dumbest debate ever and why any Patriots fan would engage in it is dumb. We are all lucky they had each other.
The haters might not bring out the best in me but I know my stance has always been a good one so I'm fine with the duel.
It was time for him to go when Patricia was hired as his OC. That’s when he lost me for good.A and C fully agree.
B no, he is clearly not the same guy anymore being run around by a 24 year old girl. BB of old would never have done a 60 min interview with a 24 year old girlfriend speaking for him.
He is clearly slacking in later years which is fine he has earned that but the team needs a guy who is fully committed to winning and not wanting to enjoy their job with friends and family working for him and his girlfriend being in the spotlight
Not anymore with the transfer portal now part of the game, some teams turn it around in a season, I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. A lot of the older football and basketball coaches think it’s a bad thing and have chosen to retire.I don’t watch college football and haven’t been paying attention, but I assume it takes time to build a program just like pro football.
Yet another telltale sign of a bad football team: players leaving and playing considerably better elsewhere.
Oh that's right. Your "collaboration" quote you cling to. So Tyquan was this unrealized stud Bill identified but the bad players were forced upon Bill. Got it.
There's no such thing as a cult there's haters and Patriots fans.It is the biggest load of **** I have ever heard on this board. Everyone knows Belichick is a control freak, and he never gave final decisions on personnel to anyone, with the exception of letting Ernie Adams make a 7th round pick on his last day with the organization. Belichick ran the operation and he gets credit for the good, and blame for the bad, period. His cult believes he should get credit only, and will stoop to the point of lying their asses off to defend him endlessly. And nothing proves that better than the Belichick/UNC thread. The cult has ZERO credibility, and they did that to themselves.
