Spent a bunch of time putting this together and after some testing, I'm putting this out there for everybody to try out.

Here's the snaps tool I just finished, based on the manual review and player data I gathered (again, shoutout to @KCSVEN for helping me get that sorted).

Try it out and let me know if you spot anything. I think it's pulling the data correctly on the positions, so it should be working.

I'm going to shoot to hopefully have this updated by Tuesday each week throughout the season.

Nice!
First thing that jumps out at me is that the OL starting 5 played every snap

Yeah that is a good thing. Let's hope it continues for a while.

Exhaustive work, there is a sortable grouping feature as well..
Great job Ian..

Fantastic stuff. Williams with only 7 snaps simply isn't enough.

Also the fact Hollins played 38 snaps with so little impact needs to be kept in mind. I don't remember him doing much with them... and not just on the box score... did he get open much. We know he didn't help in the run game, but the OL lost badly so it's hard to say what that means if anything.

Sooo many plays in 1-1-3 sets.

Doesn't seem to be the way to establish the run.

And of course so many plays with Rham.

And this is very useful.

For example, we might think that Stevenson was the #1 back and Henderson the 3rd down back. It seems that this would be a resonablke idea with Henderson getting a third of the snaps.

Sort and find out that Stevenson's reps were double those of Henderson on 1st down and on 3rd down. It is as if Henderson is the #1 and when he needs a break Henderson, the backup comes in. Perhaps that's reasonable. However, it is not immediately clear without the stats or without a much better memory than mine.

I'm so glad there's this website and not just some stupid ass reddit. Even the dumbest arguments here can get so granular and specific because you're just surrounded by a trove of vetted data, direct-source news, and historical references - to the point where I feel like I'm still always learning something lol. Meanwhile other places (especially Reddit) mostly parrot ESPN talking points.

Was just messing with this and noticed that the combos weren't opening with the defense/offense personnel groupings when you selected some of the more in-depth options. They've been corrected.

Updated through Sunday's game. The league has a discrepancy with Milton Williams - they list him at 39 snaps. He's out there for 40 (they missed him on a 4th QTR play at the 1:19 mark). All the other numbers are correct, but they're off on that one. Again, the math doesn't math (it comes out to 56.909 instead of 57), and I visually verified he was out there for that play. Like last week, I'm sure they'll fix it before the week is over.

Special teams totals seem to be off, but I'm still digging into it. I'll post an update in a bit, but the offensive and defensive totals should be good.

Special teams are verified and have been uploaded.

Great work, @Ian! Thank you. Could you nudge us each week when you've done the update, please?

Absolutely. I had planned on updating this thread each week when I do upload them, so I’ll keep everyone updated here.

I don't agree
I would like to see some of the back ups get a series each half. keep them sharp.
now we hear Moses is in a boot, and Bryant has yet to play a single snap

Nobody rotates starting OL unless they have to. OL vs DL is a huge meta game and the QB needs consistency.
