DJ James was cut days ago, seems like it’s not listed in the tracking.

Both @DaBruinz and I were a little behind on this. I went back through the transactions from the last week and updated his previous post, as well as the roster, which should now reflect these changes:

Based on these moves, it appears they're only at 52 on the roster, meaning they've got an open slot.

I had a feeling we'd see Conley back - one of those cuts that you can probably sneak by other teams and re-sign after Week 1

Wise to get guys like Butler in for a look on PS - but I think given the potential needs on OL, get Conley back as he's more familiar with the O (we could see him on the roster sooner than later too I fear.)

Butler moves to Shadow Roster now as they will likely continue to bring in guys to get a look at them

Ballentine seems to a reasonable fit as a gunner and a 6th CB.

9/9: (52/16/1)
Patriots waive from the 53, DJ James - CB
Patriots sign to the PS, Jeremiah Pharms

9/11: (52/16/1)
Patriots release from the Practice Squad, Mekhi Butler - OG
Patriots sign to the Practice Squad, Jack Conley - OG/OT

9/13:
Patriots have traded Ja'Lynn Polk - WR (on IR) to the Saints for 2027 6th round pick and 2028 - 7th round pick.

We’ve left those off because they haven’t affected the actual team roster. But we can start including that if people find it helpful.
No, I don't believe that is necessary. I can't recall any of those elevations ever getting playing time.

Reason I asked was because I remember seeing the week one elevations here, or perhaps it was on another thread. To me it will just clutter things up with too much information.

I agree that we don't need to have the elevations in the roster for a day, only to get removed on Tuesday. We all have easy ways to get this info in a timely manner from the Gameday thread and from patriots.com.
=================
For you, I guess that playing time on Special Teams doesn't matter.

GAME 1
Ballentine 69% of ST snaps
Robinson 48% of ST snaps

GAME 2
Robinson 43% of ST snaps
Minor 7% of ST snaps
================
Without players like Robinson and Ballentine, we'd need to have another STer on the 53, giving Vrabel less roster flexibility (not needed against MIA).

from wiki
Practice squad elevation Mark Robinson was also again prominently featured as a member of both coverage units and the kickoff return squad was. With him having only one standard elevation left and currently just 52 of the Patriots’ 53 available roster spots filled, he might be a candidate for a promotion in the relatively near future.

This is updated following all the moves:

I also finally caught up on all the signed-through dates, except for Herring (who just signed), and I'll update that once it's available.

perhaps Newman is being signed to the 53-man roster. A backup LG with some experience isn't a terrible idea.

Looks like Jerry Rice's son was in for a look see

I'm glad to see them actively shopping and creating a shadow roster

Williams is another guard prospect

This is updated after the above moves. It's also complete (finally) with all the ages and contract expirations, so you can see when everyone's contract is up, etc.
