The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

Thread would have ended 200 pages ago if not for you.
Or at least headed in a better direction. Bill going to a college team is worthy of discussion.

Yup. Rhebein did the scouting/film study and Bobby Grier interviewed Lloyd Carr. Both gave the thumbs up to BB and Pioli.
And according to Mrs Rehbein her husband was very impressed with Brady. I don't remember hearing Bill give Rehbein or Grier any credit, but I stopped listening to his grunts and snorts pretty early on.

Brady's respect for authority matched up perfectly with Bill's style of coaching.

The question that always comes to my mind is at what point Bill would have replaced Drew if he didn't get hurt. Or even if he would have replaced him at all.

These of course were BeliJordan's attempt to trademark phrases such as "Do your job" which the Patriots of course had already trademarked - hence the rejection.

I believe They are still in the running to be approved for the "GoldDigger" trademark.

I don't understand why everyone doesn't think this is all classy and respectful.

I mean, I assume Vince Lombardi was always trying to trademark "Go! You Packers Go!" insisting that he should at least get a few cents profit every time someone uttered it - that's what classy coaches do, right?

She should try and get gggrrglllbbblldgdgggglllbbldsssmmmmm……………………. trademarked.

We'll never know but I remember reading somewhere coming out of the 01 camp, Bill and Weis felt Brady was the better QB. If that is true and they were 1-4, etc my belief is they would have made a move.

Too bad she missed out on Hawk Tuah Girl...

Is it too late to start a crypto-coin?

Even Gronk knows that isn't real money.

If Bill's team can't even beat an FCS team he might as well retire now.

It was Bill who told us the Rehbein story first.

interesting, Bill looks neat and clean. Wonder if Bubba or MJ told him to knock off his homeless look.

He’s doing his damndest to erode the reputation of GOAT coach. He was basically widely considered that if he just retired shortly after Brady left.

Then he was “one of the greatest”. Now he is a has-been great coach, old fool. I’d say he was a really good coach at a time but now he sucks.

Probably a top 5 NFL all time HC still but it’s trending downward.
Yep to both.

He beat…let me check…Charlotte? I didn’t even know such a college existed.

I only know it as the school Cornbread Maxwell took to the NCAA tournament before being drafted by Red & the Celtics...

This was always a given from the moment Butler was seen crying on live television, the offense didn't punt once, the defense couldn't get one stop and Bill still didn't put Butler in the game, at least for one drive.

Considering Butler didn't do anything criminal, whatever else he did, or Belichick supposed he did, it vastly, vastly paled in comparison to sabotaging the players, the team, everyone who works for the organization and the fans. It was Butler's last game on his contract. Play him, win the SB, get all the credit as a coach, then throw him out the door.

After that fiasco, and Belichick having the temerity to claim at the post-game press conference that he did what he did because it was the best for the team, making an absolute bum of a QB, who won seven more games for the rest of his career, with a TD/INT rate of 21/18, win the SB MVP, nothing he has done since has surprised me at all.

Why would anything he has said and done in the last five years be seen as unexpected, when he put his ego before the good of an entire organization, and showed absolutely no remorse for it?

Frame this ****ing post, it's that good, and correct times Infinity.

Like I said rainbow sherbet

From the **** of that ****ing skank? Doubt it.

Not that I wouldn't **** her at least once, mind you... I've been married for 30 years now, so my standards are lower.

I still don't get why if he's the GOAT coach and executive with a stellar reputation then why does he have to overpay his relatives and cronies and relatives of cronies to work for him. He's an economics major, so we've all been told countless times, and we also were told countless times that he understands under-valued and over-valued assets.

If he is really the GOAT shouldn't tons of talented coaches and administrators from all around the country be lining up to work for him on the cheap? Isn't that what an economics major should be looking for? All the money he would save could then be used to get better players off the portal instead of buying more gravy for Fat Mike.

Isn't the hypothesis that fits the data the best is that he's a grifter soaking UNC for every penny he can get for himself and his entourage of fellow grifters?

Or maybe you just hate the guy and search for anything dumb to post about

I think this was one of the biggest problems Belichick faced in the last 4-5 years he was here. His generation of coaches had retired. Younger coaches he brought in had moved on to better positions with other teams, and the next generation of coaches saw younger head coaches they wanted to work for, and probably didn’t want the 20 hour days Belichick expected them to put in. And I don’t think Stephen was a bad hire, I think he’s a good young coach with a bright future, if dad doesn’t poison it for him.
