They tried. They really tried.

It was actually the deals that Wolf failed to make that would have been his worst moves. Both Ridley and Aiyuk would have been huge mistakes, and although they will deny it now many people here were screaming for him to make both of those moves.

This should be fun………………..

What kills me is he watched Caleb and was like wow that is a NFL QB right there. I was for sure in the minority I think, I did not see what the fascination was. That said he was still in my top 4 in the class. I have some buddies in the industry and they felt that "Hero ball" could be coached out of him. My stance was always that he did not make NFL reads and would extend plays until someone was open.

He has crazy arm talent(Velocity, arm strength, good spiral, decent placement), but will take a lot of refinement.

Agreed. Maye was my favorite QB prospect within the last 13 years; I’d say since Luck….maybe Burrow. Caleb had/has raw talent (I believe he had generational traits, but not necessarily a generational talent). That term gets thrown around too often. Daniels was the most NFL ready due to the amount of games he started/levels of competition & Maye had the highest ceiling of them all. I love Daniels too, but I think the system is tailor made for him. He’s easy to root for. Maye was handed the worst situation & showed flashes of “WOW…WTF?!” I believe he’ll still end up becoming the best of his class.

You generally need QB’s who have good character so they can lead your offense, if not your team as a whole. There are exceptions, but you need guys that take responsibility and set a good example.

Gonna ask for 40M probably... lmfao. I hope they sign him for 8 years!

Tyler Dunne is a **** writer. Always has a blockbuster story that never really pans out as he writes it. Hard for me to discern what's the reality and what's editorializing with him.
Looks like he published the info without getting approval form the original source:

Thanks for sharing. Follows a trend. He had some big story about McDermott being the source of all wrong in Buffalo. Before that he was in Green Bay kicking up dust. He always wants to have some big breaking story.
