The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

Thinking about that Belichick game plan in the Super Bowl against the Giants that was put in the HOF. Has that been overrated a tad over the years?

It's not like BB's defense shut out the Bills. They still allowed 19 points which isn't exactly shutting them down. Also got only 1 sack of Kelly and 0 turnovers off the Bills offense. Also remember the drive that set up wide right started deep in Bills territory around the 10 yard line with 2 minutes to go. It's said that BB's plan was to let Thurman Thomas get his yards... actually he got over 30 of them on that final drive and I don't think BB's defense was letting him do that on purpose at that critical point of the game. Basically that defense should have lost that game.

IMO Romeo’s game plan for slowing down the GSOT in SB36 was more impressive and that was a way more talented team.

IMO BB's game plan for slowing down the GSOT in SB36 was more impressive... it was executed almost to perfection.

Don't you mean RAC's game plan for slowing down the Rams?

LOL, is it going to be a status of BIll getting curbed stomped by the owner's son?

There you go Kraft that's awesome. Whatever issues there may be glad to hear he still plans to Honor Bill.

Some of you guys could take a lesson.

RAC deserves some love too. Glad to see you start to see it my way. No need to even argue something that for 35 years no one has ever taken your stance on lol reaching much.

Absolutely it is overrated but that is a discussion I didn't want to get into (but figured I would since you brought it up).

The OC, who no one remembers (our very own Ron Erhardt) deserves as much, if not more, credit. The TOP disparity was 40 minutes to 20, which remains the largest disparity to this day.

This game was the original back-to-back possessions at half time. With 4:00 left in the first half, the Giants trailed 12-3. Buffalo wouldn't touch the ball in a meaningful way for 14 game minutes and the Giants took a 17-12 lead. The Giants also had a 7 minute FG drive in the 4th.

It's pretty easy to develop a defensive game plan when the other team never has the ball.

Genius number 2 thinks he's smarter than everyone over the last 35 years. To be honest though I'm shocked he saw anything other than the QBs.

He's got his detractors and people who want to devalue his accomplishments even before going to UNC.

Jordan, as impeccable as his resume is, is under attack by Bron fans who downplay his accomplishments to prop up their guy.

GOAT debates are subjective ultimately. I think Tiger is the GOAT but if someone says it's Jack, then I'm not going to argue because it's their opinion.

All this does is give his detractors more ammunition. If he wanted to leave his legacy intact he could have retired after they beat the Rams the 2nd time in the Super Bowl, but he decided he wanted to keep going, so that’s the risk he took.

How he doesn’t realize that Bunny on the sideline talking to him looks absolutely terrible is beyond me. At this point the school should tell him that she needs to stay away from the field. Christ, WTF has happened to him?

And she isn’t any fountain of youth for Bill, I’ve never seen him look worse than he did walking to the locker room before that game.

I’m 45 and not sure I have the energy for a 24 YO in bed on the regular.

After year two of his run here should have made clear that he doesn't give a crap about his detractors. Nothing has changed. He's with a young female that could be his granddaughter. He doesn't give a F.

She's probably freaking out because she saw all the 21-22 year olds on campus

Jealously reigns supreme for “women” that age and in that game (daddy games that is) imo…

My bad then if it was pre-game, but even then, why is she on the sidelines?

The real question is where are her goddamn red pants?

It's funny how before the game all the talk was about Bill, and now it's how TCU is such a strong team, yet they aren't even nationally ranked.

I just watched highlights then Bill's presser and it was like a rewind of his last two years here, "too many mistakes", yada yada.

Well, who picked those players who made the mistakes, and who coached them? What happened to accountability?

I didn’t get to see the presser and was wondering if it was the same old bill with grunts for answers or was he actually, you know…cordial? Doing his presser job professionally etc?
