he attempted 12 passes in pre over 2 games, maybe you should wait till he gets in a real game and actually has time to get in a rythm.
Maye has not looked good and he is facing a QB who threw 30 TDs in 2022.

I would play Henderson and not because he is a Pats player.

Youve seen him rush the ball. He is like a thoroughbred horse waiting to race. And, Mickey D likes getting the RBs in space and throwing to them. I will very surprised if Henderson is not involved the pass game this Sunday.
I have Chase Brown and Hampton ahead of him for now, but I got him in my flex for Sunday

Like Polk?

Its a joke. Maye has struggled through 2025 camp and preseason games.
Wouldn't say he struggled in preseason games. As for camp, I feel like I heard the opposite - that he was looking very good but with occasional accuracy issues, which is pretty normal for a super young QB like him. You saw a similar trajectory with Josh Allen.

I have more confidence in Maye against LV D, than Geno against ours. You don't, that's fine. Can't always agree.

We still need to threaten the deep 1/3rd of the field, or our opponents will do exactly what they did against us with Mac. The D will shrink closer to the LOS and take away those quick throws if we don't make them respect the threat of deeper shots. We simply can't just rely on and say, "short quick throws". We've seen in the past, that doesn't work if that's all you can do.

Ok, but that’s not going to be the focus of the offense, is it? If it is the Pats are in a heap of trouble.

So, he had problems at LT and that makes you think he can’t play RT?

No, I think the focus will be traditional Josh offense. Highly utilized slot guy running underneath, 2 way option routes. TEs in the seam. Utilizing the backs out of the backfield....etc. But that stuff will be covered very quickly if the D doesn't respect us taking shots and they sink their coverage. We saw this time and time agin with Mac.

I think he would be an OK backup RT because I saw him do it in preseason.
I don't remember all his snaps in the pre.
Who did he go against?
He was so bad at LT last year, I would have zero confidence he could flip sides and go against opposing starters and be serviceable as a RT.
Could be wrong, hope I am.

Hasn’t looked good where?
And, Maye is not going against a QB who threw 30 tds in 2022 (by the way, who cares how many tds he threw 3 years ago with a different team), he's going against a D that was 26th in points against last year.

I think we win this because our D will show up

But trully, people here are putting us with a looot of points. Realistically, we don't know how Maye will play, and his pre-season was just ok. McD will play with thousands of screens

This will be a low scoring game, unless our Run game is trully otherworldy (no pressure Henderson)

Special teams and D causing turnovers can flip the field and score quickly. I'm sticking with my 27-17.

That's why he's the backup.

yes but we are talking about spelling Moses. Call him a backup, but he needs to be able to play at competent level and I have serious questions about him doing so.

I don't think we should expect the player backing up and spelling Moses to be starter-level material. There'll be a drop off, as any starter-to-backup transition has. The hope is that with reps and time, they improve in future weeks/years. Lowe probably won't, but Bryant could. Realistically, Lowe is more likely the backup LT who would play RT in a pinch; Campbell needs no time off unless he gets hurt.

WTF does Polk have to do with it. He is possibly the worst wr in nfl history.
Maye hasn’t struggled at all.
