I know some folks were concerned that we only had Tonga as a run-stopping DT specialist, so it’s nice to see they grabbed another. Looks like the Bengals were trying to sneak him onto the PS playing the same game Belichick used to play, holding onto a guy they like another couple of days after cut downs, figuring most teams now had their rosters set.

Yeah seems like that's exactly what happened. Vrabel says "screw you guys, I got tons of crappy players I can afford to lose at any time! Your cuts are never safe from me!"

I certainly hope he can be an early down run stuffer, but we all know the Bengals D is trash.......like it's an abomination. So maybe they were trying to "sneak" him onto their PS, but if he was good enough they wouldn't have attempted that. Again, Bengals D is hot garbage, you don't make cute moves that could cost you a guy that could help with your biggest team weakness.
