8/24: Layden Robinson waived with an injury designation - Per the transaction wire.

Wake Forest linebacker Luke Masterson appeared with a "passed physical," designation but no transaction is shown for him being added - at least not yet. Mike Reiss reported that he was in on a visit, but nothing official about him being signed at this time.

An update on this:

Robinson appeared on the noon list of transactions today as a reserve list addition, with a "Reserve/Injured from Waived/Injured" designation without any designation to return. So it looks like he's been placed on injured reserve. Odd that there was such a lag in between the first move several days ago, but that's the update:

With Baker being waived yesterday, the belief is that he'll round out the final spot (at least if the reports are true, once he clears waivers). I'll update it as soon as it becomes official.

Patriots Release DT Jahvaree Ritzie from the Practice Squad

The New England Patriots announced today that they have released DT Jahvaree Ritzie from the practice squad.

Ritzie, 22, was signed by New England as a rookie free agent from North Carolina on May 9, 2025. The 6-foot-4, 294-pounder, was released on Aug. 26 and signed to the practice squad on Aug. 27. He played in 51 games during his college career and finished with 138 total tackles.
