BB drafted and developed Tom.

Thanks Bill.
Case in point to my post above on Mozart’s music teacher. Lmao.

Tom didn’t play defense, special teams, didn’t block, didn’t tackle…. while others were learning football at a young age you were undoubtedly a cheerleader.

It’s a team game, you’ll never understand.

Neither did Bill. Weird how that works huh?

Tom - Bill = Super Bowl
Bill - Tom = .426 post Brady and out of the NFL

Those aren’t my opinions those are facts and they suck for you.

Nobody is giving Bill all the credit.

Arturo Toscanini doesn't think your point is very valid. Or John Williams to pick someone current.

Mozart wasn't just a piano player he also conducted a lot of his own work.

Also I think music was just done a little different back then.

But you guys don't really like facts anyway.

Jimmy Johnson - season one: 1-15 - season two: 7-9
Bill Walsh - season one: 2-14 - season two: 6-10
Chuck Noll - season one: 1-13 - season two: 5-9 - season three: 6-8
Tom Landry - season one: 0-11-1 - season two: 4-9-1 - season three: 5-8-1
Bill Parcells - season one: 3-12-1 - season two: 9-7

That’s ^ what building a franchise up from nothing looks like. These guys suck also I assume?

The records after their dynasty runs ended was similarly as bleak
No they weren't. Lol making stuff up again huh?

I have never seen someone so proud of the fact that they played Pop Warner, or who thought that gives them some sort of special insight on the pro game.

It's quite pathetic, really.

Mozart's music teacher was more important to music and ought to get more credit than Mozart himself. Amirite?

In this analogy Mozart actually is BB since what Mozart mostly did was write the music onto paper then pick and conduct the members of the orchestra.

Except Mozart didn't suck his entire career and he wasn't viewed as a loser who should be fired but then stumbled ass backwards into the greatest violinist of all time, and all of a sudden he's great.

I completely agree. Both Kraft and Belichick have handled this poorly.
They did. But honestly I have a bigger issue with Bill. Kraft for all his faults took a chance on Bill when he was viewed as damaged good and had to spend a 1st round pick on him when other owners were saying he was a disaster. Kraft also gave Bill more control over his franchise than any owner gave any HC.

The fact that Bill during that tenure was petulant and being snippy with that owner and created bad blood between him and his son and Kraft took it on the chin to not ruin a good thing, says a lot about both of them. And before someone says "well of course, anybody would take that for that kind of success".... Jerry Jones didn't and he was the owner of the franchise with a dynasty right before us. Many of these owners in this league are ****head control freaks and Kraft got out of the way. And the fact that Bill was afforded a model of team structure that simply didn't exist in the NFL even at the end (there will never be another coach in this league who has as much unilateral as he did even in 2023) and is whining that people didn't get out of his way enough for him to succeed is just kinda gross. There's a reason why Bill couldn't find a job after Kraft was done with him, even the bottomfeeders weren't going to give him the level of control he was accustomed.

The documentary was in poor taste, but it was just adding gasoline to a bridge that was already burned at that point.

Wozzy literally thinks he's the only person on this sub who ever played the game at any level

Putting aside all my BB love I also can't believe Kraft just threw that model out to accept the generic NFL current model.

Given the Rats and/or getting saddled with Wolf I bet Vrabel wouldn't mind that model.

Also it's a stupid analogy. The Cowboys won a ring minus Johnson. They made an won playoff games after the last SB, which we didn't. It wasn't until like two coach later with Campo that they actually had seasons close to as bad as our last two.

Likewise.... the 49'ers won immediately without Bill Walsh. On top of that, after their 80's dynasty with Montana and all those guys ended. They were winning playoff games and had double digit records through 98. They even got another SB in that time frame. They were even winning with Steve Mariucci. It wasn't until Dennis Erickson became coach in 2003 that the wheels really fell off.

This idiot even listed Landry even though the Cowboys were very famously a strong team throughout the 80's after Landry's last SB. They didn't really fall off until Landry's last two years.... and then they had their big dynasty with Johnson right after firing him.

The Steelers were consistently a playoff team after their dynasty. They made an AFFCG a few years later. Then Cowher had his run where they went to a SB and won one and then Tomin had the same thing. The Steelers never got close to consecutive 4 win seasons post dynasty.

The dude just makes **** up that feels good even though you can easily refute it. Some 12 year old must have really clocked him in Pop Warner.

Because the model stopped working. Bill was an anomaly and it was becoming obvious that the rest of the league had finally evolved past Bill's method of working the post free agency era and Bill had no interest in giving it up so that he could compete and having a sophisticated personnel department.

Also results in the NFL tend tolag

It worked from 2000-2013/14. The great drafting and free agencies from 09-14 set the table for the 14-18 run. But even by like 2018 people were saying "you know the Patriots aren't all that deep and a lot of their drafts recently had kinda flopped. It just kept compounding for years without a correction until it was unsustainable.

You don't watch someone be unable to competently draft and restock the team from 2015-2023 and say "yeah we should keep driving into this ditch".

Vrabel is a modern coach, he's never going to subscribe to that model because it's archaic and he understands what the teams he's competing with have in place.
