Why does anyone bother drafting guards if they can just so easily be found at cut down day.

You guys have some serious over confidence in just finding the solution to our problems on the street.

I guess I should wait a few days but it's not that easy when we have a serious problem on our hands now.

Not to mention everyone just believes that every draft pick we made this year will be an instant success. What if Wilson has some growing pains?

Not to mention everyone has been panicking about Bradbury all camp too. But Ben Brown can back up at center and guard so we have no problems. And Wallace is at guard so we can pretend he didn't suck last year since it's not the same position.

No we have confidence that our crappy players we cut will still be there when we get the roster straightened out. That there probably is an agreement with someone like Strange or whomever, that they will come back to the pats after they trade or release or send to ir a player or two and we also realize that the bottom of the barrel backups that got destroyed by the giants last week, probably could be replaced by the giants players that just got cut and we would be better off. Or you could whine and cry about it and look like a buffoon in a day or two.

I didn't like Thornton in that Draft: I was 100% George Pickens I also like that speed guy in Pittsburgh Calvin Austin III. Our stupid BB staff Scouted Romeo Dobbs and took the worse misfits known to man in that Draft. Back to Boney Thornton his speed is useless if he can't Catch.

I think we need to do anything we can to develop Williams we need that big play threat to make this offense work.

Since we gave up on Thornton and now KC is getting the rewards.

I want to see Thorton's stats by seasons end before I acknowledge the fact that we should have kept him. We gave him ample time to do something....anything.

I will go out on a limb and say Thornton won't have More yards than Boutte - Bourne or barefoot Mack Hollins.

Why analyze anything right now then. Vrabel and McD have only had 6 months with Maye so far and we probably aren't going to the SB so one should give any opinions on QB yet. Please.

You aren’t “ analyzing” anything, I would have no problem with that, you are throwing a tantrum, and acknowledged that yesterday afternoon when you said you were venting. However when the “ venting” then continues unabated for the next 18 hours it crosses over into the realm of a temper tantrum. They can’t even start to claim players until today and you are acting like their roster is set and they are doomed. Seriously, give it a rest, wait until they have set their roster for the first game, and then vent your complaints about everything they haven’t done. Christ sbb you have been doing this long enough that you should definitely know this, but are acting like a newbie who doesn’t even understand the process that is going on. Seriously, you can do much better than this.

There's a lot of hand wringing here about a 53 man roster that won't be the 53 man roster when they take the field vs the Raiders. I look at it as there's 8 WRs they are protecting today, but they probably don't have 53 guys in total they want, so they are waiting to make final decisions on the final 3-4 guys they have their eyes on. Move this guy to the PS, that guy to IR, sign these two guys over here. That type of thing.

What does BB have anything to do w today’s Pats (& their personnel mgmt)?

Vrabel is NOT from any (if it existed) BB tree.

He played for BB; ….. he learned his coaching elsewhere/whom.

I’m not sure how much the BB secretive, closehold **** works anyway in today’s media environment. Every player; agent ; players mother; and dude w an press pass can twit -insta-fakebook to the whole world.

I could also have written "It's completely unprofessional to do your business in public that way." For the reasons I explained in my post: not least, what if the trade doesn't work out -- as it didn't? Just because there are lots of rumours and leaks, doesn't mean that the Patriots should add to them. Vrabel obviously knows this, which makes the leaks all the more troubling.

I don’t really understand why Bourne made the 53, after not participating during training camp for the past three week with a knee inury, rather than being put on the IR to return list (or being cut)?

Maybe McDaniels really pushed for him because he did so well in his offense during their one year together or maybe they think he has some potential trade value and just has to show that he is healthy. There are a few teams who are really desperate for wide receivers, Minnesota being at the top of that list.
