One wouldn’t think that a player would ever want to be cut at the deadline, but with Baker you never know, both he and his Dad seem to think that anybody (including Nick Saban, leading to his transfer from Alabama) who didn’t realize Baker was going to be 10x as good as Randy Moss was a complete idiot. Confidence is good, but it used to be a bit overblown with Baker.
…but, maybe he has seen the light in the Church of Mike Vrabel, his special teams work is certainly a good sign

Yep. I have been wondering whether Vrabel got through to Baker, his efforts on special teams certainly make it appear that way. He’s got talent, his head has always been the question mark.

Ponder has a big future, so does Chism. Nice!

Has anyone remember anything Dell has done this preseason?

Whilst i like our DLine, Pharms, Farmer and Tonga feel very interchangeable: big plucking bodies. Still they did good, so no hate on keeping them

I really dislike our ILB depth. Gibbens and Mapu are not reliable at all

8 wrs is stupid, unless we have plans of going empty, which is not McD style. No idea why keep Bourne, with so much young players here.

Bradburry is a liability and hopefully he wont play. Seriously, seeing some clips of him is dreadful. We need a guard, at least for backup for Wilson or Ben Brown

Man there’s quite a few nice players hitting waivers today. Feel like we need a list or something. I doubt the Pats actually claim that many players, but seems like they have an opportunity for a number of nice pieces at #4 waiver priority…

Seth Mclaughlin the Center from Ohio State might have been interesting but I suspect he's been cut because he hasn't fully recovered from his injury.

This one is for the draft nerds. Tommy Mellott the QB to WR switch that was being trained by Edelman failed to make the Raiders roster. Shame because he's supposed to be an A++ type character.

Baker’s claim to his roster spot is tenuous as he’s unlikely to be claimed if cut. Dugger and Bourne both have a decent chance of being traded. Westover is fairly easy to replace. Mapu’s fit in the scheme is not very solid and he has done little this camp.

Several of these guys probably will stick on the roster, but all 5? I doubt it.

Cut Bradburry, Pick Up Lumpkin, Wilson to Guard, Brown center and hopefully Lumpkin replaces or becomes full back and cut Westover.
