It pains me to say it but the Cowboys documentary was so much better.
I do hope Bob and Bill watch it. Not that I think it will mend fences esepecially with Bill's last salvo being so recent but it took Jimmy Johnson 30 years to get into the Cowboys ring of honor. Bill and Bob don't have 30 years. Again I have my issues with Bill but he belongs in the HOF.
I've always thought Barry Switzer as a bafoon. I haven't completely changed my mind but there were things I didn't know which made me more empathetic towards him and I was surprised by the players who came to his defense.
- 1. They actually went into depth on the rivalries and the 49ers and Bills players had a lot more face time. Loved the amount of time they spent on the 3 NFCG's vs the Niners and all three SBs.
- 2. Jerry, and this was a Jerry production, allowed there to be a lot of criticism of him. Jimmy Johnson and his fued was done in depth and he let Johnson have his voice vs the hit piece the Dynnasty was. I have my issues with Bill but it was ridiculous.
- 3. They didn't gloss over the controversial things like Erik Williams car crash, Ivin's drug charges Emmit's holdout, etc. The Dynasty didn't gloss over them either but Bob tried to cover his ass.
