Credibility check: Didn’t McLaurin sign?
I think he came off the PUP which created a buzz that a new deal was coming but I don't think anything else ended up happening yet.

No.

Someone here started a thread stating McLaurin signed, but that has not happened.

Probably due to some bogus clickbait article.

The only news on him is that he was removed from the PUP list on the 16th.

Useful. Thanks.

Phuck that. Then you pay him what you think he's worth.

If the Bengals want a player in return, I would throw Jennings into the mix. Not White. I think White in this system could finally live up to his potential that we have seen in flashes over the years. He is young. Hendrickson is older. I think we would regret throwing him in the mix.

Dugger. Let Cincy eat his salary in return for us eating Hendrickson’s.

I’d do Dugger and Jennings and a fifth for Hendrickson in the blink of an eye.
Yeah, so would I.

Edit: These teams thinking they're getting first round picks back have been indulging far too much in their edibles.

With Dugger and Jennings I’d probably go higher than that fifth. Certainly not a first.

But here’s a hypothetical question: based on what we’ve all seen so far, if Marrone tells Vrabel he can put together a quality OL now that he knows what he has, how far can this team go?

Far enough to go all in? If so would you do Dugger, Jennings, and a 2026 second for Hendrickson?

I think I’d do a third. If asked for more I’d push back hard that based on our record last year we won’t finish high enough to justify a higher pick, but I might grudgingly give a second.

3rd is tough, that's still a top-100 pick and possibly top-75. While it's pretty apparent Dugger and Jennings aren't going to be playing much, it's still pretty damned good depth. So you're giving those up, a top75ish pick next year, which would fill in that depth, for a 31 year old player who will either be commanding a huge contract as he regresses - or worst case, is a rental if they can't come to an agreement.

I'll be honest, while I'm on board with neither, I'd be more on board with the 2-first round picks for Parsons than that scenario.

If it's Jennings, Dugger, and a 5th? Someone who is less than 50% to make the team historically? I'd be ok risking a rental scenario.

Maye is not playing at playoff level. So stop splurging on free agents . Preserve the cash.

Not saying he’s not a great DE, but when you realize 7.5 of his 17.5 sacks last season came in 2 games, and he had 7 games with no sacks (all against teams with good lines/LT’s) It really takes away from his value/need for this this team, especially when considering the asking price and the age issue.

He also lead the league in pressures, but it’s hard to find game longs for that info.

His contract could end up being like judon for Atlanta . Already we have few dead weight contracts - dugger, doubs , potentially landry . I am not too solid on David and diggs too.

Let the younger ones flourish and once you realize your core rookies , you splurge. Now is not the time.

Dugger, onwenu , landry, barmore, Henry , diggs are all slight or massive overpays .

We need to see how those play out .

If we can call him TreyHen II
