On a second read of some of the tweets it actually sounds like Maye somehow did OK despite the OL being crap.

I'm willing to trade a high draft pick to someone for an actual starting center.

Gee I hope not he couldn't even get off the LOS.
I hope not as well. TT was also always hurt so if nothing else KW could be a decoy, someone has to cover him.

Is it me or were the receiver and DB's running at a leisurely pace?
I’ve thought so, on several different plays. There was one earlier one by Diggs where I thought he was just jogging and then the ball was thrown to him.

Yeah, seems like it was a decent day for Maye.

We need a Deep threat to take the top off the Defense. That Kyle Williams can be now: can he catch the football if targeted??
Henderson

Henderson
Would prefer a WR.... though Henderson on a wheeel or angle Route is going to be sick. Good luck Defense when he goes in motion.

I think the biggest issue of the last 3 years remains…O line is not good.

3 sets of coaches, same results.

Maybe it’s the players on the roster?

To me, lot of it isn’t on this staff.

BUT…

Bradbury looks awful, no real LG has emerged, RT has Moses but he’s old and probably one play away from done.

Campbell isn’t likely a goof LT and should be a guard.

All of that IS on this regime.

But the common denominator is Elliot Wolf.

He of “I think this is a solid O-line” fame from last preseason.

It’s possible he has no clue how to evaluate OL.

Time will tell, but I think yet again the O line will be what holds this team back.

Frustrating

Garrett Bradbury was #18. There's no guarantees, bud.

Henderson and Williams that speed is special.
Yeah, I want to watch Josh turn them both loose on deep routes at the same time.

I expect Henderson will get some snaps lined up outside as a pure receiver, sooner or later.

Sounds like McCarthy won’t be playing Saturday, Howell is starting, per O’Connell. I would have liked to see him up close; I was very intrigued last year about trading back and picking him instead of Maye. I’m happy we got Maye, but I’d like to see the scouting reports about McCarthy’s poise and decision making under pressure translated to this level.

It sounded like he carved us up Today without Jefferson... that's kinda telling if you ask me.

Really hope we are in the running for a better Backup QB.

This is a very pessimistic outlook. Bradbury was known to be average at best. They have a guy to replace him, his name is Jared Wilson, but not this year. The real LG has emerged, it's also Jared Wilson, who has looked fantastic. Next year they will need a new LG, and I am sure they'll do their best to find one. Morgan Moses has had very very few injuries in his career, I doubt he's as fragile as you propose. Thankfully his backup Bryant has also looked good.

The OL is far better this year than it was in 2024. But they're not elite. And that's fine. There are like 2 or 3 total OLs in the league who would look good against Minnesota's defense.

Without Gonzo and with Davis not going 100%...still rusty. No Peppers.
