Should this team be struggling in these practices? I think they should. The vikings are no joke going 14-3 last year with a good coaching staff and talent on both sides of the ball. I will not spew the same stuff we have all discussed at nauseum about all the adversity this team faces this year ( a prefect storm of issues ). I think they are still figuring out their identity and what will be their style of football. This team will look different as time goes on this season and I expect how they look in week 1-4 will look vastly different from what we will see in weeks 13-17. The soup has to stew awhile before it gets good.

I would agree. Vikings have a top 5 roster in the league.

Even if you’re optimistic about this team, we are in no way near that level yet.

I think the biggest reason the line will be fine: the competition.

They don't play a team ranked in the top 10 in sacks in 2024 until the 10th game. Plenty of time to get better.

Viking were 4th in NFL in sacks. Patriots defense was dead last in 2024 in sacks.

I think so. Ben Brown was playing out of position at a new spot.... And their center in pass rush situations isn't making things better. Without Wilson the OL falls apart quickly. Brown is a fair back up center but no guard experience. This shows how bad their back up guard situation is. The solution is simply not on the roster right now. Best to admit i now and make a move IMO.

I’m really wondering if the vet guard market shouldn’t be looked at. If they don’t think Wilson is ready for LG, and if the backup is much worse, how bad could a guy like Risner be?

I would say the Steelers are still a very dangerous rush despite the numbers. But otherwise mostly agree. There’s several softer pass rushes in this schedule.

Bills and Jets will be interesting. McDonald for the Jets is looking bulked up and was already a speed demon off the edge.

The OL and WR corps is being rebuilt basically from scratch.

Then you got sophomore Maye who is learning a new offense. The Pats offense is going slowly rise from the gutter.

I stand corrected, looked like a 75 but under closer examination looks like is 76. Had to look at it a bunch of times. I do see he is eyeing the LB and let's the outside guy run right by. Then turns around and puts arms up like WTH.

He is wr 4 now behind diggs, pop, Boutte and ahead of Hollins and Williams . Williams if not for 3rd round pick might be struggling to make the squad if he was a 5th round pick or later .

I am not saying williams should be cut . But just saying based on performance so far. For allwne know Williams could end up as our wr1 but at this point of time he is behind Chism.
