I attributed that to Vrabel’s influence.

I did notice Rham showing a bit of burst on his long carry. IIRC he lost a few pounds and said it was because he wanted to play faster. They’re all trying to be explosive.

And the RAS numbers say the new guy they picked up to replace Larison is a tick or two faster than Henderson!

There’s track speed and game speed. The analysis I read on him was that he was indecisive and didn’t see the field well. Henderson is the opposite of both, he sees the field and hits the hole and goes. This goes back to the post I made about taking football players, good football players see the play and make it, but many prospects are deficient in football mentality, and don’t make plays regardless of their athleticism. One of the best things about the Patriots most recent draft was that they took football players throughout their draft. Guys with great football instincts and demeanor. I don’t believe this guy will make the 53, more likely they will pick up somebody’s released player, especially since this was a great running back draft, so some veterans will be looking at finding new teams.

My favorite Jet of the 90s
I couldn't stand the Jets, but loved the rivalry between the Pats. Chrebet was a pain in the ass. The Jets were a popular pick in 1999 to go to the Super Bowl. The additions of Roman Phifer and Steve Atwater really pissed me off. Had Testeverde not gotten injured, I think the would've eliminated the Titans, but lost to Jacksonville. For some odd reason, the Jaguars kryptonite was Tennessee. They would've whopped any other team in the AFC.

I asked the question if Tre is the fastest RB McDaniels ever coached (as an OC or HC)? My guess was he is. But the answer came back as Danny Woodhead, running a 4.38 at his pro day. They always seem to run faster at pro days. Henderson didn't run at OSU pro day. He stood on his combine of 4.43's.
Edit: 3rd fastest was Shane Vereen at 4.49

Henderson is fast, anyone who doesn’t think so is either really high, or not paying attention, which is also tied to being really high.
From what I hear Henderson does everything well. He was a great 2nd round pick.

Woody was very fast.

Jeff Demps was an Olympic Gold medalist I think he ran 4.25 but I don't think he made it out of camp.

It's looking like these are the fastest in order Woodhead, Henderson, Maroney and Vereen.

Henderson Koolaid watch:

"I DON'T WANT TO BE LIKE THE REST. IN NEW ENGLAND, IT'S NEVER BEEN ABOUT FAME OR FLASHY DEALS. WE PLAY FOR LEGACY, FOR THIS CITY, AND FOR THE FIGHT THAT DEFINES US. THE MONEY FADES, BUT THE VALUES WE BLEED — DISCIPLINE, LOYALTY, TEAMWORK — THAT'S FOREVER. THAT'S WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A PATRIOT." – Treveyon Henderson

The "why did we draft a 3rd down back at the top of the 2nd round" people have been *super* quiet lately.

They'll pipe back up once he's in a regular season game and gets stuffed for 28 yards on 10 carries in one game... then quiet down again on the following 2-TD week

Jeff Demps was an Olympic Gold medalist I think he ran 4.25 but I don't think he made it out of camp.

He ended up on IR, then made the mistake of telling BB he wanted to play two sports at the same time. That got him traded to the Bucs.

But this story has a happy ending, however. We got Blount, a lopsided return on trade value. Only lost a 7th round pick plus a disinterested RB who was never 100% into football.

TreyVeyon is must-see TV….literally. This is his new name.

If Henderson is the real deal, the Pats should've changed their uniforms yesterday. We can't waste a talent like this playing in bad uniforms. How dope did Curtis Martin look and Terry Glenn with his visor in the 90's?

If you can't wait to watch Henerson again, you can watch every run and catch from 2024 here

Proving once again that there is track speed and game speed. Henderson is easily the fastest once the pads are on. And he’s a ***** to tackle, as the defenders are the ones to really pay.

I'm not dropping the OROY curse on him yet...but man.

I think Jeanty will get OROY because he’s going to be a 300+ carry workhorse, but Henderson will have a better career.
