I think most here aren’t necessarily saying he can’t play or anything….he’s definitely got the tools but he also has that one thing that can tank a locker room and that’s a ****ty attitude. He’s not even out of his rookie contract and I’ve read he’s a cancer already so…nothing but well wishes for him and “America’s team”….i never understood that btw…why are they “America’s team”? Because someone thought all Americans were cow pokes from tx? Then again only steers and queers come from tx…

Not saying he didn’t say exactly those words but I’m sure there was some pouting and attitude to go with it all. When these dudes get it in their heads that they’re sooooo great, when they start to drink the koolaid that their entourage is serving up, they believe their own self manufactured hype along with the hype from those around em and that’s what makes it a bad situation in the locker room. You’re absolutely correct in saying what you did as there’s nothing wrong with believing in oneself. It’s when it causes issues with the team is when it’s a problem.

My concern is that the 'issue' it caused, was putting pressure on Drake Maye by his back-up, and the one thing Vrabel did was clear the deck for him. That's nothing more than coddling, and I hate that ****.

Drake Maye won one game last year. His overall performance was 'ok'. He showed flashes, sure, but it's not like he had some Justin Herbert rookie year. Everyone's completely sold on Maye, and I'm a Patriots fan, so I'll support him, but I'm not going to run interference for him either, I got sucked into that with McCorkle.

It had better be the right move, is all I'm saying. If in 3 years Milton's getting MVP votes and we're wondering if we're going to pick up Maye's option or not, it will be disaster.

Not quite, he was only listed as QB2 going into week 1 of preseason. Will Grier is his competition and they'll still be battling for the job all this month.

You won't have to worry about that scenario. Extremely unlikely that a guy who is inaccurate and hasn't been good at reading defenses since college will be getting MVP votes at any time in the future.

As for Maye yeah he is just 3-9 as a starter with a habit of turning the ball over so let's hope he shows more and takes a step forward this season. I think he will.

Jones coaching was absolutely putrid in 22-23 and his bad mechanics were never coached out of him. Still had them in Jacksonville. And that's one reason why he's a backup now. That isn't an opinion that's reality.

Can always count on Team Bill being overly sensitive to any perceived criticism of their hoodied hero even when it's obvious that the word "coaching" doesn't only refer to him.
