Micah Parsons has OFFICIALLY requested a trade.

Micah is young talent. Why wait until 2026 for a rumor when you can guarantee what you're asking for now?
The Pat's just found a franchise QB and LT.

If those are signs of a rebuild what is?

That's an odd an answer. Because the LT and QB are young you'd rather wait until next year and take a gamble in the draft on a rumored deep draft instead of just getting one of the best player at that same position now for a little more draft capital.

Also 26 year old stud edge players are as important as any position other than QB and LT for a rebuilding team.

18% of your salary cap on one player.

That’s why.
That's a better answer than the previous one.

My counter to that is that when on a rookie QBs contract is as good a time as any to pull something like that.

Jerry is playing games, like he did with Dak, Emmett and Lamb.
He will sign him.
He is not going to trade him unless some team offers 3 first rounders and starting position players.
This is all part of the game called "contract negotiations"

Yeah I'd say he's definitely playing games and sometimes stupid games lead to stupid prizes.

I'd also say it seems like Micah might not be playing the same game. Probably just contract negotiation games from Micah too but if you're someone who wants Micah it's not far fetched to think Micah could be serious. And the same adage applies to him too if his goal is to stay in Dallas.

For a smart business man Jerry sure seems to make some bad decisions. They could've signed Micah last year for $34 a year, now it's going to $40 plus.

And he repeats these mistakes over and over and that's why he is in the HOF.

Jerry says that he is the best Cowboys GM available.

Looks like he is right.

This team is not ready to contend in the post season.

What is your plan? To contend for a Super Bowl in 3 years when Parsons is 29?

There is no magic fix or move. And now some Fantasy GMs want to trade away at least a 1st round pick and blow up the cap for the shiny object.

Parsons is 26 today and before you know it 28 and the Pats still are not on solid ground. In fact the Pats would be in worst condition because they traded their top pick away and committed too much money on 1 player.

What happens when Parsons is double teamed and the other NE pass rushers fail to reach the QB? Then what do you have? You need to invest more money to help Parsons succeed because you've already invested a fortune in him.

I would offer a 1st, Anfernee, Jennings, Polk, and Lowe (if healthy). If Lowe isn't healthy, I'd offer Peppers.

I also realize that the Pats would likely had to consider Douglas instead of Polk and Keion White instead of Jennings..

I think Jerrah is going to make it clear that Parsons won’t become available, and if he ever does he will demand 3 first round picks. And when you look at trades for similar talent two firsts is the minimum, and it usually takes more than that. If they could get Parsons for a first and players, other than Maye and Gonzalez, I would do it in a heartbeat, because they can afford the contract, I just believe the trade price will be outrageous.

That’s because signing Lamb was too important to him. I would have traded Lamb and signed Parsons, they could have gotten a great WR had he done it before the 24’Draft.

You have a chance at Parsons without giving up Maye, Gonzalez, Henderson, Barmore, Spillane, you do it.

Huh? Maye and Gonzalez make sense, but as much as I like the others I would trade a 1st and any of them for Parsons, and I love Henderson.

Pats receive:
Micah Parsons
Cowboys' 2026 second round pick
Cowboys' 2026 fifth round pick

Cowboys receive:
Patriots' 2026 first round pick
Patriots' 2026 third round pick
Patriots' 2027 first round pick
Patriots' 2027 fourth round pick

I'd do something like this.

Spillane is a defensive leader in Vrabels new system hand picked to come here. Henderson is going to be our starting back by next season and he’s on a Rookie deal and he’s explosive.
Barmore when healthy is one of the most dominant DL in the league he’s versatile we need him.

I wouldn’t put any of them along with multiple high picks for Parsons.

Now straight up trade?

I would trade any of them for Barmore straight up,

I’m thinking the trade would look like our first next year,
Stevenson, Strange, White.

I wouldn’t give 3 first round picks for anyone.
