Micah Parsons has OFFICIALLY requested a trade.

The issue is there isn’t a world where the economics would work for NE.

Not only would they have to give him a massive contract (probably doable) but it would GUT their draft picks for a few years thus creating a young talent void that they are only just now beginning to recover from.

To me, too many needs and not good timing.

I agree, don't give away the future

The economics would work here as much as anywhere else.

And the void left by the picks partially gets filled by a 26 year old stud pass rusher.

Hypothetically we could use our pick next year on an edge rusher and we'd just hope he could be as good and out draft stock wouldn't be vastly different.

yah i would take him over mclaurin also. but he would probably cost 2 first round picks. mclaurin would probably cost either a first or a second
Two first picks is crazy, no thank you

You think a team could take on both Garrett and Parsons contract? Not sure about the economics or specifics on how that would work in the salary cap era. I don’t think they could ever pay a QB top tier money with those two on the team. Not even sure if we could when Gonzales and Maye get their pay days.

Agree completely. No team can give 2 pass rushers 1/3 of their cap.

Agree. With Parsons you are talking about at least 2 first round picks plus another 1-2 day 2 picks. That’s too much for this team to give up. The good news however is that the 26’ Draft is loaded with high quality pass rushers.

Jerry is the Dallas GM and will fleece whoever steps up to deal with him.

Good teams don't do these types of deals. Good teams draft the next Parsons and when his rookie deal is up and he wants to be traded they are in the cat bird seat doing the fleecing.

I'm confused you seem to be suggesting that Dallas is a good team.

I think you're giving Jerry too much credit. The Walker trade was 35 years ago and Jimmy Johnson probably had the biggest hand in that.

I’d take him over McLaurin in a heartbeat..
Yeah I'd take him before Terry too.

I'm sure most would take him over McC......he would also cost $10M a season more.

Pass rusher vs pass catcher

Comparing apples and oranges

Neither is likely to happen.

NO way on earth any team should be dumb enough to give a up a round 1 or 2 pick for a 30 year old receiver asking for over $30 million per season. Parsons is worth that though.
