When was the last time a Patriots Rookie WR did that?? KW dragged two toes to secure the catch: I'm already sold.

Pretty similar to AB who has generally healthy (maybe not mentally!) through this career.

5’10
186
4.56 40 at combine
1.58 split.

AB was neither big nor fast by NFL standards, but he sure had no problem getting open and making plenty of big plays
Yeah, these are the types of guys who win by being shifty enough that the defender has to respect and plan for every route. You have to have guys closer to the LOS to defend the short and intermediate, which means if he makes a couple good cuts then it's a home run, because there's 1 man coming at you from an angle, or no one, to beat to the end zone, and 4.4 or 4.5 is good enough for that.

Well said, exactly my point. 4.3 speed is overrated. How you move and use your speed is much more important

Wallace was a 3rd round pick, if he turns out to be an excellent guard, how is that a reach ? Now if Campbell becomes a very good guard, then yeah that would be a reach.
Picked at the top of the 3rd round, in the 60s. Consensus on him was a 7th rounder. As a PSU fan, I was shocked that we picked him there.

This stuff with Moses is massively overblown. It seems likely to me that he was barely used as part of veteran management. He 'looked bad' in a couple of plays on day one in a non-padded practice. That means basically nothing. If he struggles when the pads come on and he's actually out there more than a few snaps then I'll actually pay attention to it. As of now, I think it's much more reasonable to expect him to submit a similar level of performance as he did in 2024.
Dude's been around. He knows when to push and when not to. Day one in helmets and t-shirts is probably not the time for an older guy to get into his reserve tank.

There is also how you play on the field with pads on versus a track in shorts. Thorton for all of his 4.3 speed never looked particularly fast because I think his "real" speed was a 4.5. Williams on the other hand ran a 4.4 and looks like he runs a 4.4.

Gives others - Low, Jacobs, Wallace, Bryant - a chance to see what they can do out there too.

It’s called Reality. Try it, you’ll like it…
You have no idea what "REALITY" is. You're the worst Negative Nancy to ever deign this board. Which is saying something considering NEM used to haunt this place..

Where are you getting that the "CONSENSUS" was that Wallace was a 7th rounder??

Dane Brugler had him as a 4th rounder.
Draftscout.Com had him as a 7th.
Lance Zierlein had him as a 4th Rounder.
Bleacher Report had him as a 4th rounder:
NFLDraftBuzz also had him as a 4th Rounder.

That's hardly a "consensus" 7th rounder.

I hated last year's draft. Mainly because they blew the chance of getting two 1st round picks and a starter from Minnesota. I'd have been happy with McCarthy or Nix as the QB pick, honestly. I'd much rather the Pats have added a tackle with the 2nd 1st Rounder and then McConkey with the 2nd rounder than having Maye and Polk. But, I digress.
