He can be cut with no cap hit. I should not have said FA? His cap hit is $19M so I doubt they will pay that in 2026. He will be a FA unless the cap hit renegotiated IMO. Not worth $19M.
Incorrect. There would be a cap hit of 7.5M from the Signing bonus proration. What you meant to say is that cutting him wouldn't incur any additional cap hit from brining SB proration forward.

His cap hit in 2026 is 25M. If he returns to the form from 2022, then he is will worth the hit.

First I did not find a dog.

It was cool to check out some puppies but for a lot of reasons I think I'm going to get an older dog. It was pretty crowded though and I'm sure some families got/will get a little bigger after the event. It was tough to get info from the volunteers because it was busy.

It's still a little soon after my last dog passed but in the next few months I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for my next best friend.

that was the lead up since his signing... I like the fact that Ben Brown is "earning the job" over a veteran (gotta be based on the ots and mini camp work) ... Signing Bradbury does not bother me... its good to have depth so our line doesn't end up looking like scrambled eggs, like it did last year

What's interesting is that it was reported that Wilson took 2nd team snaps.. That begs the question as to where Bradbury was during practice.. I haven't seen it mentioned that he took snaps at all,..

Hard to tell anything on the line play without pads but Morgan Moses struggled today and played limited snaps, not sure if slowly working in a veteran or what. Based on last year he should be adequate RT on pass blocking so assume it's nothing that would linger as camp goes on.

Next week with pads and then Aug 6th with Washington joint practice we can get some idea on the O-line.

On a positive note: the interior line seemed to be OK. Would really love to see Wilson win the Center job.
I thought the D seemed a little ahead of the offense. But other than the one dropped int from Pepper I thought Maye fought through it and made some nice plays to Diggs, Williams, Henry, and a few others. Spread it around nicely.

White definitely had a would be sack and there was some decent pressure all around.

I thought coverage looked pretty good especially initially. As they don't actually sack Maye was able to fight through it and make some plays. Though I do wonder what his numbers would have looked like if it was live.

Seemed like a better run practice than I remembered from Mayo but still not quite a BB practice either. I think that day one and league ramp up rules definitely contribute to that. I suspect Vrabel's camp to look a lot more like Bill's than Mayo.

One fun little moment right in front of me which I think the media would have been too far away to report on. But the offense ran an end around to Pop and after the play Diggs was getting into it with White over the way he set the edge. Kept yelling "don't get lazy 99". I think it was simultaneously some decent leadership and just good fun chirping O vs D.

Needless to say I really liked day one from Diggs.

And from Williams.

I'm sure I was watching the WRs a little too much but I thought those 2 stood out the most to me today.

Anyway just fun to get back to some ball. I'll post anything else I think about as I recall it.

Hot one tomorrow so I think I'll skip. I think I heard pads don't come on until Monday so I might wait until then to go back. But I'll probably get bored and go down again.

Yes, that sounds really good! Setting the tone early, good for Diggs!

I always adopt the slightly older pets. I get that everyone wants a puppy, but I'd rather take the pet that aren't as likely to get adopted.

Wallace is maybe a bit slow for tackle, but OK for a guard? Wallace is a big boy. Onwenu is $19M cap hit and Strange is a FA, so it will not be surprising to see both off the roster in 2026.
I don't mind Wallace as a guard at all, he is probably built a little better for it. They are lacking in guard depth anyway, especially in 2026, so may as well.

C'mon cap! The OL listed for 2026 would likely be about the 25th best in the NFL.

If they're lucky... But with Wallace at LG it wouldn't be even that high.

Whoever suggested that one oughta take a lap.
