YMCA volunteers - LOL. Mayo from the top rope, Glaser jumping into the ring, and throw in some YMCA volunteers and see what happens. Too funny.
LOL... looking back on it.. the staff was an absolute joke.. probably just as bad as the matt and Joe show in 2022.. glaser absolutely had a hand in it.. boy am I happy we have Vrabel.

Agree that it’s Maye.

It tells me that they’re looking back at last year to find the key points that need to be coached with him.

I like that. It shows that they are constructing a plan, based on evidence from last year, to reinforce the things he did well and correct the things that needed improvement. That’s what coaching should be.
Saw that as well. The staff was watching the film practices that's when drake threw the 4 INTS early on. Also if you remember Josh saying the safety is coming up, he's right there. The defense was disguising that's how they got the INTs.

Drake is a smart player, I expect him to build off his rookie season and start to ascend into the top QBs conversation.

Don't love Peppers seemingly still having a leadership role.
As coach said can't win with a bunch of good guys, peppers is one of the best players on the team... he's a natural leader.

I disagree. I thought the opening clip was specifically highlighting the effort to rein in Maye’s inclination to run. Vrabes repeatedly pointed it out, obviously making it a point of emphasis.

Vrabes also said “good job remaining a passer.” Seems like he was praising Maye for continuing to the sideline while looking to pass, instead of turning upfield and putting his head down as a runner.

I think the coaches have identified his tendency to play hero ball as a deficiency that they are trying to correct by teaching him to play within the system, and that means breaking him of his desire to become a runner. I certainly hope so, anyway.
That is exactly the way I see Josh Allen.

Interesting comments from McDaniels at around 32:40 of the Episode 2: "We're just passing up guys to get to the guys that are triple teamed", "This is gonna get dicey", "He's just late. The window aint open for long..and it won't ever be open by much", "This whole thing is way harder than it needs to be. He's does it right then he does it wrong. That should be a perfect thing for us every time".

The player isn't referenced in the quote but I'm pretty sure he's talking about Maye. For all the positives he showed last year, this tells me he still has a ways to go and the number one thing I'll be following during camp.
The triple team comment for some reason made me think TEs or OL. As in, blocking defenders that are already being double teamed and leaving wide open rushers. It sounded like more an indictment on the entire offense not just Maye imo

He definitely wasn't the same player the second half of last season when he came back. Hoping he regains his prior arrest form.

Good point, it might be a collective comment.

I know its not possible but this is the kind of post practice analysis I would love to see and hear about!

He got hurt in the SF game, had a knee. He mentioned this at the end of season also the mental impact of the case he was dealing with he said. That's all behind him. Also keep in mind the defense regressed so badly last season that peppers and others had to make up for lack of talent and depth.

I think by the end of the year they were all ready to go home. That coaching staff was a disaster so I really am hoping for a bounce back from Peppers as well as Dugger.

Agreed, it got worse as the season went along. A healthy Dugger and healthy peppers will go a long way for the defense.

The player who came to mind for me while watching this was Javon Baker.

Now that he sees how a professional organization runs things, will he have enough maturity and maybe a moment of clarity to see how badly he screwed up last year?

That isn’t the way I would bet, but it would be great if he finally “gets it”, keeps his mouth shut, and puts his nose to the grindstone.

We can hope.

It may be more likely in 10 years he looks back and realizes the golden opportunity he squandered.

NFL history is littered with these guys.
