It’s not just that he’s back, he looks extremely good. Not unprecedented, but still very impressive. Speaks to his dedication and effort.
I agree but a lot of other guys are dedicated but do not recover in 9 months. I always thought some Grade 3 tears were worse than others, but I might be completely wrong about that. Either way, it is great he is back so quickly and surely it would not have happened if he was on a lot of boat vacations during recovery.

Everybody and surgery is different, even if it's the exact same procedure. Lots of guys have complications that slow the healing process that we never hear about. So, I would think his surgery went as perfect as it could, his body responded well, and he put the work in to recover as fast as possible. Think about ACL surgery in general. When guys first started having it they would miss a full year, and the general consensus is they weren't back to full speed until 2 years later. That narrative has changed in the last 10 years, and guys are coming back earlier and stronger as the procedure and the recovery has been refined. All I know is he looks fast and decisive in the videos I've seen, doesn't seem to be holding back at all. Now time will tell if he can do when his running competitive routes with physical contact, but he is definitely trending in a very positive direction.

Thinking about it one... that exposure he got for the " pink substance " boat party.. was the kick in the ass he needed. Sometimes guys need reminders.. a team took a chance on you where thier were no other suitors really coming off an ACL.

I bet he had a bunch of suitors. We are paying a lot, $26M, indicating we outbid other teams. $26M guaranteed for an ACL guy is a bit hefty but it looks like it will work out.

Agree. The dollar amount tells me that NE wasn’t the only team interested.

I'm sure they weren't the only team interested, but I think what we gave him was also a combination of how much cap space we had, how we had failed to land the other WRs we targeted, and a touch of desperation to help Maye. I like the signing and think it will work out, but all those factors played into how much we paid him, an amount that I'm sure no other team was that close to willing to pay.

Like any FA prior to signing it was teams that "checked in" but no real interest as the ACL scared some teams.. it wasn't until we had him in for a visit Vrabel's staff getting the information and feeling he was worth signing... Diggs is being compensated for what he's done in the league, what he can/ will do for Drake and his leadership.

Teams showed interest, but we were his first work out... once we had him in i believe he was here for a day or 2 right? Once Vrabel felt the information he had on the injury it was a good it was a good. If you look at it.. we needed Diggs and he needed us.. he wasn't going to go anywhere else and be a number 1 like he is here.

I am betting a MGB Dr. was involved too.
