I liked about 50% of the episode. The glorification of the Krafts wasted too much time. "I am paying for this video, so let me tell you how great I am." While I appreciate the Krafts and what they have done, I don't need to be told over and over and over. We just had that in the Dynasty thing of why RKK is better than BB. I am sick of it. I want more content like Morgan Moses. That was the best part of the whole thing, and it was awesome. I want to get to know this team and the personalities. How are the rookies adjusting. Why was Milton Williams awol in this video? It would have been awesome to pair Moses and Williams, the new ID on both sides of the ball. Hearing the coaches discuss film was solid. I liked the emphasis on Josh and Doug. Just cut the worship of the Kraft stuff.

This episode to me was about the offense and those coaches. Can't wait to see the defensive minded episode.

And thats fine if that was the design. I wouldn't say all about the offense, but rather just the oline and coaches. But again, that was 50% of the episode. The rest was Kraft propaganda.

And community relations propaganda. Team building doesn't happen by throwing balls to kids on their school playgrounds, and standing shoulder to shoulder making sandwiches. I'm all for athletes/celebrities using their privilege and status to improve society, and let's not pretend on something that valuable.

I would be expect Episode 3 to come pretty quickly.

Excited about this coaching staff and collection of talent, they can vastly improve their record from last season assuming health and how quickly the youngsters develop. It looks great on tape… polar opposite of last year.

One of the coaches said coaching is teaching, I’m not sure last season’s coaching staff believed that. Moses is like having an additional O-Line assistant.

I didn't mind that part. Kids getting to meat the team is awesome.

I hear you. Nice to see the reactions of the kids (and those running the organizations) to seeing the players, and nice to see the players interacting in these circumstances. My real problem was the set up — Patriots never did this before, look at Bob Kraft, Kraft did this, isn’t he wonderful?

I mean, kudos for Kraft for doing so. But he announces it and trumpets it so much, you’d think he’s doing it for the adulation rather than because it’s the right thing to do.

A few thoughts.

I’ve always been a McDaniels guy and this further strengthens my thoughts that we can’t let him leave.

Whoever they were tearing apart for not going to the first and second read on tape and waiting for the big play I hope it was our UDFA QB.

Vrabel is a real leader and has constant knowledge about what’s going on.

Comments from players like CAedan Wallace about they teach us what we need need to know this year or whatever the line was speaks volumes.

Watching Gonzo and Davis lock down WRs will be fun.

The trio at OL coach seems in step with each other.

We are already seeing them discouraging Maye from running and make him more a traditional passer. Mixed feelings on this for me this cements my thought that we may see some pedestrian stats from Maye. A lot of quick, short passes and rely on the run game. There maybe a few instance where Maye sees green and just goes but don’t be surprised to see Vrabs and Josh give him a Earfull if he does.

This is truly Patriots Porn.

McDaniel's would always have a few play calls that would drive me nuts, but he would put together some brilliant game plans and play calling that more than made up for it. I think he's grown and in the perfect position to show himself as one of the best OC's in the NFL this year.

That beginning clip I don't think had anything to do with limiting Maye's running. He ran for the first down according to Vrabel and Maye knew he had the first but continued to keep his head up for something more downfield. He did that last year whenever he rolled right or left. He was just saying what a great job he did not just taking the run for the first.
I don't think they'll limit his running AT ALL. That would be counterproductive. I'd say zero chance on that. Which is different than him keeping his head up on scrambles sometimes.

Just watched the whole episode
I’m really excited about this season
Dante ended the episode by saying “I have high expections of this Football team going forward. But I know this.
This guy is a good football coach and will get the most out of this team. No doubt.”
Dante bookending it with the history up front & closeout w way ahead was such a great acknowledgement of the past and really shows respect Dante has for vrabes. Can’t imagine he would have been so involved in messaging last year.
When Scar talks, I shut up and listen.

IMHO he belongs in Canton.

By teaching Maye not to just take off they want him to trust his reads and stick with them. He’s a great athlete and will be able to run when he wants to, but they want him to learn how to stick in the pocket and go through his reads instead of just taking off when the first read isn’t there.
