The other interesting part to me, is the Yankees are running 3 lefty starters against the Red Sox. They re-aligned their rotation. IMO that means they are scared of Mayer and Anthony knowing loser Cora will hold them out of the lineup.

Should tell them something but I doubt it.

I'm on board with them trading him. Can't have him there with the "I come first" attitude when you have some really young guys on the roster. I remember when they traded Nomar and thought do they even want to win? Then they won the WS for the first time in 86 years.

Have to assume it is a long term strategy after his stubborness leaving 3rd and transitioning to 1st. I am guessing he will be the Giants 1st baseman in time? The Red Sox are not winning anything soon, so might as well get rid of a $300M+ contract.

Can't do anything about the ownership but this team just got substantially more likable from where I sit. Devers was really dragging the team down in that regard

Thats not correct imo. Let's see how the rest of the season plays out. Pitching is rounding into form, let's see Anthony get some reps in and trade Story and move Mayer to short, Breggy back to 3rd. I dunno man, I'm not counting this team out even this season.

I’m ok with it, but IMO it’s the first domino to fall. They’ll deal Duran next because they are too cheap to pay him.

When they are in the playoffs in October...I still think this team is trending in the right direction.

You are depending on a bunch of rookies. God bless you. I love your attitude. Even the Pats' team in 2001 had a bunch of veterans with a rookie QB. That is different. The pitching this weekend was amazing, but rookies invariably need time to develop. Better to be realistic and build a powerhouse in a few years.
