The Saints fit that description far more than the Cowboys do.

Saints got Tyler Shough with the 40th pick overall. That choice is going to be looked at closely now.

I know some people didn't believe in Sanders... but to take a guy who will be almost 26 near the time the season starts (yes, you read that right... Turns that is September). And has 1 full season starting which wasn't even all that good.... It was pretty good sure. But considering his injury history it needed to be absolutely great. It wasn't. He was no second rounder... that is for damn sure. At least not imo.

You would think Rattler is the leader in the clubhouse to be the next man up for the Saints.

76-46 is fat better than 77-92. And while he only has 2 playoff wins it’s 2 more than Carr.
Put another way at least paying Dak makes you a winning team about 11-6 on average while teams paid Carr to lose

hes doubled up carrs career earnings and has delivered about the same results... 27 million per year vs 17 million per year... One of them is wildly overpaid... to me, it ain't Carr who's fleeced the golden goose...

I can't see him declaring for the draft after next year. He's making a fortune in NIL and even if he wasn't his family has more money than God. They're going to want him to start for a couple of years in college before heading off to the NFL. Of course, the Saints will still suck in a couple of years with the cap hell they've put themselves in, so maybe I'm saying that after all

I agree because I think the plan was for him to do 2 years as a backup then 2 years as a starter in Texas. Would he change his mind if a team he really likes gets the #1 overall in 2026? Maybe, maybe not.

Dak has not only wrecked the QB market once, but twice now. How in the world is he the highest paid in the NFL per year AGAIN? There’s something seriously wrong with him when the playoffs roll around.

Meanwhile, the 49ers are doing what they do best and letting another extension drag out in Brock Purdy who is willing to take a rumored $54M annually. The 49ers are really playing with fire on this one. If he wins a couple more playoff games this season, his value will sky rocket and easily surpass Prescott. On the other hand, if he has a season like last year, then the 9ers regain all the leverage.

Deshaun Watson is currently 10th highest all time, and will be 7th when this contract is finished, if not surpassed by someone new.

It's the size of the contracts today that skew the numbers. I think Scott Mitchell was once considered the worst contract ever, and it was like 4 million a year.

There were reports Notre Dame made him an offer in the realm of $6 to $8 million. Instead he’s got himself a non-guaranteed 4 years, $4 million deal.

It’s baffling.
