It's easy, and only takes a few moments. Not a bad plan if Campbell needs help on some plays. If they keep Lampe the Patriots will end up getting great pass protection from their RB/FB position with he and Henderson there.
With their much upgraded OL, 3 excellent RBs plus maybe Lampe, Hollins as an excellent blocker, Maye as a threat to run, and upgraded receivers meaning no heavy boxes on every play, they should have a tremendous run game compared with last year. That will open up play-action too.If they keep Lampe the Patriots will end up getting great pass protection from their RB/FB position with he and Henderson there.
Jahvaree Ritzie is a new name I hadn't seen previously.
Apparently signed, not just a tryout/workout.
Teammate of Drake Maye's for three years.
Gibbs has the exact same measurables.Looks more like a slot WR than a RB. Listed as 202 lb and looks less than that here. Average weight for an NFL RB is more like 215.
But James White was 205 lb, and that worked out fine.
I like the Henderson to Westbrook comparison. I think Trey has a little more afterburners but Westbrook had plenty of long gains. He was great.Snap. Just posted this elsewhere. I put a brief tldw summary there.
Greg Cosell on the Patriots draft. To summarise:
Will Campbell - He didn't give the impression he's completely sold on Cambell. Referenced his poor game against Landon Jackson. Thinks he can be good but expects some iffy reps.
Treveyon Henderson - Really really likes him. Enthused about his blocking. compared him to Brian Westbrook.
Kyle Williams - He watched his tape before the combine and didn't think he was a deep threat. Says Williams can do damage in the short game, on screens and jet sweeps.
Jared Wilson - Didn't watch him.
Craig Woodson - Really likes him. Says that Woodson...
It’s to stretch out his wrist/forearm area. Maybe another 3/8” length by training camp. What's with the wrist braces? I trust that he does not have Terrence Wheatley wrists....
“Who are three guys who have never been in my kitchen?”Not a bad plan if Campbell needs help on some plays.
This Pats off season reminds of the Cheers episode where Cliff was on Jeopardy and the categories seemed tailor-made for him.
Not only did the draft appear to have been a grand slam where not only did the trades work perfectly to where they got the players they wanted, got in front of position runs, and even got picks for next year, our UDFA crop seems more intriguing than normal too.
Add the coup of getting Vrabel and his coaching staff and the Pats really look poised to return to the playoffs and start to resemble the team we watched for 20 years under BB and Brady.
I am being optimistic but not unrealistically so. They REALLY could come together fast.
Major kudos to Bob Kraft for admitting his mistake with Mayo and doing what needs to be done.
If the Pats can have another dynasty, THIS time Kraft can rightfully claim some credit.
If we still had Mayo I don’t even want to think about where we would be now.
Damn, that was my first thought, as a joke obviously, so I hit the reply button. Glad to see another sense of humor related to this case. They’re to give him that extra arm length so many here wanted.
Film tells me he punches above his weight class. I won’t be surprised if he’s RB2 or RB3 in carries and RB1 in yards and TDs.Looks more like a slot WR than a RB. Listed as 202 lb and looks less than that here. Average weight for an NFL RB is more like 215.

I have no clue what medical condition he's working through. He did address it as a health scare. I do know (as it should be obvious to anyone that's seen a picture of him), is that he's not just overweight, but bordering on morbidly obese. There's a multitude of health concerns that could arise from being that overweight. Hopefully, for his own sake, it's something that's being properly addressed and will not adversely effect his quality of life. As for when he will return as DC (and if he can be physically able to put in just the hours required for such a position), remains to be seen.Wonder if we should be concerned about this.
