Is there any longer any shred of doubt in anyone's mind that in the case of Bill or Brady, the Early Bird chose Wrong?

To paraphrase that legendary master sleuth himself, Ford Fairlane, this case is cah-losed, oh!

Anyone who believes Brady would have won the Super Bowl with the last gassers couldn't be more mistaken.

You guys really do listen to too much Boston sports media

2020 they at least make the playoffs with Brady and from there who knows? We know Tampa wouldn't be champs without TB12.
2021 - the Pats could absolutely win it all with Brady at QB instead of Mac Jones. They likely don't fall apart at the end of the season coughing up the division and unlikely 47-17 happens in Foxboro.

What did he do wrong though other than date the 24 year old?

I mean he said he wasn't going to talk about his personal life.

We're all entitled to our opinions.

Mine is that it isn't wrong for him to date a 24 year old girl, presuming of course she is not doing it against her will.

It's also my opinion that he's unwise to use a girlfriend as his personal representative, especially one with little/no professional PR experience. He can and should do better, IMO.

As for his personal life, well, it's not personal if it is posted to Instagram, that was their decision.

Also, real estate transactions are public records and hers didn't offer much of a challenge to decipher. Maybe she needs better personal representation?

The beat goes on... came across this quote by some dude called Pablo Torre.. so much drama.
“Two sources at the University of North Carolina tell me,” Torre said, “that there has been a decision was made last week by the higher-ups inside the athletic department, that had hired Bill Belichick to be the highest paid public employee — not just coach — in the state of North Carolina at $10 million a year, and that decision was that Jordon Hudson is no longer allowed in the football building. She is not allowed on the football field. ‘Don’t think you’ll be hearing much from Jordon moving forward.'”
NY Post picked up this story as well
“…two UNC sources told him higher-ups inside the athletic department came to a decision last week that Hudson is no longer allowed on the North Carolina football field or inside its football facility.”

Bill is probably relieved. Might even have put them up to it.

“Jordan dear, it’s not my choice. My hands are tied. We don’t want to jeopardize my big contract do we?”

A lot of this stuff is just gossip and has already been debunked.

I don't know why we do this stuff on this page.

UNC already came out and said the story is absolutely false and that she is free to enter the facility.

People make stuff up, especially podcasters and the local media

Right, and UNC also took that opportunity to point out that it's absolutely true that she is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, and will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.

So, free to enter the facility, but not free to manage activities within his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.

Interesting they felt the need to communicate that when they could have just said she was free to enter the facility and leave it at that, IMO.

People make stuff up, especially podcasters and the local media

Yes, and people leave things out.

Should've stopped at "local sports media."

BTW, this was covered back then on this remote page called... patsfans.com.

There was a whole thread of Belichick at dinner in New Orleans 3 years ago.

They precipitated the Patriots downfall?

Had nothing to do with ownership undermining the coaching staff with internal mutinies? The selection of, and the sticking with, Mac Jones?

I am so glad I never listen to the radio guys in Boston.

It's not all noise and nonsense as you suggest. I'd put the gratuitous pot-stirring at about 60 percent, the remaining 40 percent comprising thoughtful commentary and useful information. Guests like Greg Bedard, Bert Breer and 98.5's own Alex Barth are excellent sources of inside Patriots info. You just need to know how to separate the wheat from the chaff.

They were going on and on about her being banned.

It was totally untrue

I agree. The problem wasn't the age gap in their relationship. That's nobody's business, and good for them if they've overcome that and found a way to be happy with each other even if that happiness stems from mutual exploitation.

But the minute they chose to flaunt it, on IG and otherwise..... well hey, what did they think was going to happen? BB is just as complicit because he went along with it.

IMO it will end when he's had enough of backing her expanding property/assets portfolio, or when she's caught cheating on him, and she will, if she isn't already doing that.

Hey, how would. you know this? I thought you take great pride in ignoring local sports media. But now you're just being silly, that was the news out of UNC at the time it was first reported by the former ESPN guy, not something made up by Boston sports media. Then they subsequently reported a statement issued by UNC officials addressing it. THAT, my friend, is responsible journalism.

Either Pablo Torre got it right and UNC reversed itself via damage control, or he just got it wrong. Newsworthy stuff, regardless, that Boston sports media was compelled to follow up on.

???
Is it difficult to know what they're saying without listening? Of course not.
It's not a mystery either. I've been hearing about this a lot in the way most people hear about these things. From others.
Do you talk about the Patriots with your fellow Pats fans friends? I do. I told them it was gossipy BS and that's what it turned out to be.

I'd say "nice try" but this doesn't qualify. There's got to be a meme, somewhere, of a guy shooting himself in both feet with a bazooka. In your case this will have to suffice ...

That which results in an official statement by UNC with regard to their policy on their coach's girlfriend is not all noise and nonsense.

My thought is that Torre probably got two sources from UNC to talk to him while the decision making process hadn't been completed.

I think that perhaps at one level of management UNC did decide to ban her, but someone higher up decided that was not the best approach.

It also could have been a leak meant to motivate Bill and Jordon to play nice i.e. UNC leaks that she will be banned, then she and Bill become more open to a solution that does not include a ban, namely the announcement that she doesn't work for UNC, she doesn't work on UNC branding, etc.

All this will be a monumental pain in the ass for UNC. Sure, a lot of people will be talking about UNC football, but not in a way that is helpful. For instance, if you were the parents of a recruit, would you want to send your kid into a mess like this?

They hired BB and made him the highest paid state employee hoping to raise the stature of the program. This is the opposite of that.

BB is doing himself no favors by involving her in his professional life, in any capacity. She might be bright but she's just too young, inexperienced and above all unqualified to navigate the inherent complexities. She might be causing more problems than she solves on his behalf.

He has said repeatedly that he does not care what anyone else thinks about this. So he will just do what he wants and ignore outside voices.

It's all just pathetic and embarrassing. Bill seems to have come undone. I guess I see this decline, whatever diagnosis or etiology is relevant, as a continuation of the weirdness which he showed over his last few years here, which led to his firing.

This can happen to guys who are so tightly wrapped and driven that they exhaust themselves over a lifetime - often men of great accomplishment. My old man followed that path: got old, got weird, and just kinda opted out of everything while still insisting on the prerogatives and respect he had earned before his decline. Anyone who has read King Lear will know the pattern. It's a sad state of affairs.
