Last year was my first as a season ticket holder and I liked the location of my seats (Sec. 205) but I was hoping to move down into the section so when I saw that I could request a seat change, I applied to give it a shot. The form they have you fill out is very specific about where you want to move, so I was expecting some sort of personalized note telling me that I could move or could not move to my requested location. Instead, I got an E-mail telling me I had a window from 9:00-5:00 to log into my account and make the change.
I went on there at 9:00 on the dot and there were no tickets in 205 at all. Weird... why ask me where I want to move if I can literally move anywhere but where I asked?
Anyway, the end of the story is a bit funny. While I liked my seats in section 205, they were in the sun for every home game last year - all starting at 1:00. We roasted in those seats, especially the home opener against the Seahawks, where quite a few people near us got severely sunburned because they didn't bring sunscreen. So when I looked around the stadium, I found seats in section 236, which is directly across the stadium from 205 on the (mostly) shady side. A little higher than where I was in 205, but closer to the 50 yard line, so I took them.
In the end, I did change my seat, but not at all where I requested. Is that a win/win? I guess. My daughter is ecstatic, as she got roasted a couple of times in my old seats.
If you requested a change and grabbed my old seats in 205, do yourself a favor - bring sunscreen!
