So this is a purely hypothetical either/or and I think I know which way the vote is going to go but I just wanted to gauge people's feelings on the matter.

It now appears the other prospect the team were debating at 38 was Jonah Savaniiaea rather than Jayden Higgins. Now this next bit is purely supposition on my part but I wonder if, having drafted Savaniiaea at 38 whether they'd have triple dipped on the OL or might have gone with the next best speed RB available in Dylan Sampson. There's no way of knowing whether they'd have entertained Sampson but adding him to the poll is consistent in the Pats selecting an OL plus a speed RB. So which would have been your preferred haul?

I loved Savaniiaea but this is a tough call. I voted RLKAG -thank you for providing that option- and would’ve said JS and DS before the draft.

Now that I’m reading more detailed breakdowns of TH and JS, I think I lean towards how it actually unfolded.

I chose Savaiinaea & Wilson but in reality my choice would have been Ersery obviously. The RB could have waited. I won't regurgitate all the names. It will only depress me lol

Ultimately I'm satisfied with the overall results. If Campbell fits the bill of a 4th overall than we shouldn't have needed a 2nd Tackle.

I would have parlayed back in and got Ozzy at the time, but I believe it's all going to work out fine.

Yes sir, that's how this poll stuff should be done. Our man Manx didn't just fall off the turnip truck, he appreciates the process. Clearly a man of respect for the way things should be done

I'm a respecter of tradition but part of me does actually want to know what people think.

A good reason to allow respondents more than one vote. Usually if I vote RLKAG I'll post any thought I think is worthy of expressing in addition to my vote like @jboston19 did above.

I'll vote RayRay if the choices do not align with my thought process, unless of course the poll is just asinine and begs for RLKAG responses, which this one does not.

This. Pats chose Campbell at 4 because they believe he is their LT of the future, rightly or wrongly. If you think you have to hedge your bets, then taking Campbell at 4 is an egregious sin.

I wouldn't have minded a double dip at OL at 38 if someone great were available - Donovan Jackson would have been high on my list. Bit in that case I would probably have passed on Wilson in the 3rd.

I wasn't high on Ersery or Savaiinaea, so I'll stick with how things played out. Very satisfied.

thanks for stopping by with such a useful contribution.
Uh huh. There are some contexts so pointless that no "useful" contribution is possible. A little gentle remonstration, which all my gently factious post was, is not out of place when that happens.

Breathe into a bag until your head clears.

In retrospect, I prefer the way it worked out. But in real time nobody expected Wilson to last so long, so it would have made sense to secure the IOL first.

I wanted Green at 38, but I do understand why they did not. I am happy with the path they chose; especially with the pick of Swinson

Green at 38 was tempting and would have been exciting, but probably not consistent with the kind of player the team was targeting, and more risk than they were likely willing to take on at this point.

As things worked out, I'm very content with Henderson 38 + Swinson 146 over Green at 38 + BPA at 146.

I really wasn't in the double dipping crowd in the 1st 3 rounds, unless it was on tackle capable guys. But i knew there was a small chance of that.

I also wasn't of the opinion that Wilson was a 2nd rounder or top 75 guy.

But getting him and 95 and getting an extra 4 next year? That's fantastic. It was only strengthened by getting round 3 talents in Farmer and Swinson later.
