Some guys are more impactful with their jams. Everyone he'll face outside 1v1 in press situations will bigger with similar speed. The more physical you are with him the tougher it'll be bc of size. Not every press rep is physical. Some corners are more handsy, grabby with good makeup speed if beat. Some need to really put hands on you at the los to win or they're toast. The physical you are with him the better. He relies on his footwork and twitch a lot more than his hands or ability to fight off physical/press situations. What does this mean
He's an attention magnet. What coach wants that kind of pub for a borderline starter? I wouldn't take him unless I really need a QB and my room was empty or a vet that was a clear backup. But too much with him for too little in return. Like I didn't even bother grading him but I'd probably have a 3rd or 4th on him. Like this is where he belongs more or less imo.@BaconGrundleCandy What is your take on why Shadeur Sanders has slid so far? Plenty of supposedly inferior QBs have been chosen ahead of him.
This is shocking.
I hope that made some sense. In the same way you can have a "speed" X or more "physical" X at the WR position. Different players just win different ways. I think if he can develop his hands and again blocking it will push him into starter territory. Immediate Z/Slot for us though. What does this mean
I just blanket assumed that all press = physical press but I get what you meanI hope that made some sense. In the same way you can have a "speed" X or more "physical" X at the WR position. I like Kyle Williams a LOT. Getting him at #69 is a coup imo. He has the physical tools and some route running savvy. Moves really well and could become a nice complementary #2 across from Diggs. I like his versatility to line up all over. He can play on the outside and is not just limited to slot looks.Kyle Williams is from Baltimore and played hs ball in CA. Has experience at several different positions like cb, wr, qb and returner.
One of the better prospects you'll see against press bc of his suddenness, footwork and initial burst. He's the guy that will never win a race against guys in practice but his game speed is always plus. His first few steps are very quick and powerful. Plus acceleration, twitched up. Love his ability to create big plays next level even if other parts of his game are lacking. He's a great tracker with a big play mindset (17 y/r) Will maneuver and adjust on the fly without losing speed. Can stack and track. One of the better rr in the class against man/zone. Whether it's vertical stuff, running away from zone coverage. He's a very savvy rr with a good understanding of what's in front of him. This might sound like words but so many pass rushers, wrs etc don't naturally understand different types of blocks or coverage right away. You don't know you can't properly use the right tools. Versatility jumps out at me. He might never be the surest handed slot guy but his ability to get vertical in a hurry will be a nightmare for S/LB in 3 wr sets. WR2 ceiling if his blocking improves. He need a lot of work there but *if* he improves he could be a starter. His footwork, once he's off the los could be more efficient. He'll round, drift and just find himself a little out place at times. Vision and timing could improve on some of his underneath routes vs zone coverage. Release package is plus but he has to get stronger next level. CBs are too big, long and just as fast. This along with his blocking are his biggest obstacles. Once a guy gets his hands on him he's going to have serious trouble adjusting. He's going to have to fight through contact a lot more.
Yup. Steve Smith’s comp for Kyle Williams: Steve SmithSteve Smith had him as the #6 receiver and said he Williams reminds him of himself.
