DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION Official 2025 Draft Thread: Day One

For whoever posted about Radio City Music Hall, they stopped hosting it there after, supposedly, a scheduling conflict forced the draft to be pushed back in 2014. The conflict was allegedly with a Rockettes show.
That was me, I thought my picture might have been too big…. . But I’m actually here on vacation, thought it was funny the one time I’m at Radio City is at a draft after they stopped going there.

You have to ignore because you can’t answer.

Youre asking me to give you a hypothetical on why something hasnt happened instead of accepting that it in fact hasn't happened.

You reasoning and rationale on why it doesn't matter doesn't explain away why it continues to happen.

Campbell isn't going to be the guy who bucks the trend. Only 4 LT in the last 5 years have had a shorter wingspan than him have been drafted in the first round and only 7 games between the 4 of them have played at LT.

You're trolling. You'll also move mountains and rivers in the fall on why what you said tonight didn't mean what it really meant when Campbell is playing guard.

I wasn't a fan of picking Campbell at 4 but after watching his interviews I'm warming up to him. He seems to have heart and that's BIG...
Harry was good at interviews too how did that work out??

You know when you said it was best to just ignore him because he wants to derail the thread?

Nice pinstripes, Campbell.

Trade down is the only thing to do at this point and if any team after us in the top ten does it then the Patriots are really gonna hear about it.
Just as there are reasons why they may not be able to find someone to trade up from 38 with, they might not be able to find someone willing to trade up to 4, especially since it would cost less to move up from, say, 10 to 6 than to move from 10 to 4.

Please, Mr Mara (there is the meddling-owner-genetic-defect in the Mara line), take Dart at 3. Please, please.....

I wasn't going to post in a thread that I think is likely to get as toxic as a GDT but that simply is not true, in fact it's ******** and I couldn't let it go unchallenged. While Wellington Mara was very hands on when it came to the ops side of the business and had a strong hand in league, affairs, it was well known he didn't meddle with the personnel side of the Giants. His faith in George Young was legendary, t the point he went to 'war' with his nephew over it. In Wellington Mara's 45 years as principle owner he had 4 GM's. The highly respected Young, his longest serving GM, sang his praises as an owner.

John Mara's meddling tendencies (such as they are) aren't hereditary, they are all on him.

I'm curious about those who don't want Campell (or T-mac) and who they do want at 4. There's a lot of negativity and not many alternatives offered.
Austin Derrick Henry Jeanty.

Harry was good at interviews too how did that work out??
Yeah, well he's still not my favorite pick but that's what the indicators are so we may have to deal with it

From what I recall reading about it, you did need a ticket to attend the first night. But they would start handing out tickets to the next year's draft to the sickos willing to stick around for round 7.

No I am asking you to explain why wingspan matters. What happens on a football field to a LT that is dependent upon wingspan.

There is no trend. There are a bunch of football players and this guy happens to have a fraction of an inch shorter arms. That fact has nothing to do with his ability to play the position. If it did you could say why.

What if he had the biggest nose ever for a LT? Would that disqualify him? It’s the same thing, a coincidental immaterial fact.

I have never back tracked on anything I say, I will state same thing today, tomorrow and in 10 years until someone can show me why wingspan matters. No one has. No one even tried.

So you don't think A Jeanty is the Fourth Best Player in this Draft??
