Predict Patriots draft decision at 4.

You forgot Tyrone Wheatley.. LOL .. It's ok..

Personally, If Layden Robinson, Jacobs and Wheatley were cut on Monday, it wouldn't be a loss. It might even be addition by subtraction.
LOL, I did forget about him. But they never brought him back after the injury settlement, which I thought was disappointing. Had him as a guy I hoped might come around at some point but it never happened.

Oddly enough, he landed in Atlanta, and he's still on their roster:

I predict most fans will be unhappy with the pick

Expect Campbell,
but Jeanty or Tyler Warren wouldn't be a surprise.

You list 13.
=====
We would cut 3, even with no replacements.
I nominate: T Robinson, Jacobs and Brown. Absent injuries, I don't see any on the 53. Perhaps they are PS material, perhaps not.

STATUS QUO (and yes, we need upgrades everywhere, especially as we look to 2026 and 2027)
================
T (3) - Lowe, Moses, Wallace
G (4) - Onwenu, Strange, L.Robinson, Sow
OL (1) - W.Schweitzer (note that he can back up all the IOL positions)
C (2) - Bradbury, Andrews
This makes me think they will try to trade strange. Too many guards.

Emmanwori is going to be a stud.
He is...and we do have a gaping hole at safety.
I think he would end up having a career worthy of the #4 overall pick, but the local media would light itself on fire if that's the pick.

I feel reasonably confident it's Campbell but I'm getting an increasing feeling that Jalon Walker might be the pick. We wined him and dined him at his private pro day and part of me thinks Vrabel wants a dominant defense. Use him as a Hightower/Jamie Collins hybrid attacking as a blitzed, off the edge or spying the QB.
My concern with Walker is he only started one season, I know it’s Georgia where they breed NFL players but a starter for one season.

I actually expect Peppers to be traded.

I disagree that he's a NEED. He's a luxury with Dugger on the team, IMHO. the Pats NEED someone who can read offenses and call pre-snap adjustments to the secondary the way McCourty did. Neither Peppers nor Dugger are those guys.
How's he a luxury? So your take is he can't read offenses?? McCourty was a CB who busted in his second season and was switched By BB to salvage his career. He didn't come into the league as a FS he learned to become one and did well! Peppers when healthy is a borderline all pro caliber player. In 2023 he was a borderline all pro and was the playmaker in the secondary. Last season he got hurt and had the legal issue. That's all behind him. The guys a Rodney Harrison type enforcer in the secondary. Dugger is also a great player and played injured last season. They both are NEEDS. Veterans that have been here that can carry vrables messaging on the field.

Yet, He was just as good as Cam Robinson or Dan Moore. Players that numerous people on this board wanted.

Lowe is more than a "practice squad" player. He is a bottom 1/3rd starter, but can be improved upon.
I agree that he can be improved. But he's not a starter. He can back up Campbell.

Dude is a top 10 pick IMO. The problem is they have gaping holes on the line and at WR. They can’t take a safety, even if he’s a HoFer in 15 years.

Trade with Raiders who take Campbell or Membou or if they are nuts.. Sanders lol

6th pick take Jeanty, Walker, whoever is the top player on board.
Take Kolton Miller as comp

If we take Jeanty, then IMO Stevenson will be traded for a 5th rounder (Dallas)

I think the man who ran the greatest dynasty ever, involved in every single decision is clearly the GOAT GM, even if people feel the neeecto trash drafts that resulted in 6 Championships. The point is to win, not to make decisions fans like. The draft is an exercise in risk. It’s also an exercise in building the best team not collecting the best players. The only way to judge it is with objective results rather than subjective opinions. And the result is did you win not did a pick pan out.
Maybe, and you make a good case, but personally I think it was even more impressive that the Patriots won so much in spite of spotty drafts. I remember coach Cowher saying that before games against the Patriots that they would look at their players and were pretty sure they outmatched them; but when he looked at the scoreboard, the Patriots were ahead. [Psss, it was all the work of Ernie Adams.]

GOAT GMs might be Ozzie Newsome Jr., Jimmy Johnson, or Howie Roseman. BB did some good FA moves and draft picks early on, but lost his fastball by the end.

Gawd, is Thursday yet????

And yes, whomever that Patriots pick, the fan base will not like it, unless the stars align and Carter falls to them. Then if they take Carter, I won't like (preferring to trade down).

BTW, if I was the Titans, I would trade down with some idiotic team with a meddling owner such as the Giants and let them snarf up Ward. Then (if at 3) I would trade down again for a team that is in love with Carter. Now you have lots of 2's and 3's in a draft that is heavy in these rounds. Only then do you get your QB plus a DE and some WRs.

I think it will be Campbell but the closer we get I have a feeling a team will want to do a trade with us for Jeanty or Warren. I heard today that not only are the Browns and Giants receiving calls but so are the Pats. Maybe the Browns and Giants are telling them they aren’t trading or haven’t received the right offer.

This team needs to build an offensive line. Being able to have your choice of tackles at 4 is a nice spot to be in. If miracles happen and Carter or Hunter are there awesome… but it’s unlikely.

I think some people on this board will be unhappy they didn’t trade down two picks and get seven first round picks for it

How do we have too many LG's?

Who is better than Strange at LG? At WORST, Strange is the backup LG and a backup C.

Strange is an OK starter and certainly a qualified backup. Let's take advantage of the last year of his rookie contact.

Of course, if the team thinks that Sow is better than Strange or close, then Strange should be gone.

Well lets face it no matter what happens in the draft, there are some that will be unhappy and moan and complain. We all know who they are.

I would take Mason Graham.

I think we'll take Will Campbell.

But I have a sneaky feeling Tetairoa McMillan is still in play. That quote from Vrabel about wanting someone who can haul in off target passes just sticks with me.
They are not drafting Tet at 4. No f'n way.

Looks like Campbell is the pick. I'd be very happy with that. Rather have Hunter + trade back into 1st to get Conerly or Simmons but Campbell is a good pick
