Predict Patriots draft decision at 4.

This wouldn't shock me. Look for a team to call them to leapfrog Jacksonville for Jeanty. Pats could move down a few spots while picking up a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

Many teams have thought that, but failed miserably. It's an enormous risk if the Pats did this. In his first year, he'd be a rotation guy at best. But if he turns out to be a dud, you blew the pick while failing to address another need. We look at Seymour as a WTF? pick, but DT was actually a massive need. The only starter was Brandon Mitchell. This team already has two starters with a ton of money allocated there.
Take Campbell at #4 and hope that he's a 6'6 Rashawn Slater (who also has 33" arms). At worst, he becomes a 10 Year+ 1st Team Pro Bowl/All Pro LG. I suspect he'll be at least a solid LT, but I suspect even more so that he'll be much better than that as a LT.

We want a solid LT for the next 4-10 years.

I doubt that he will ever play LG for us.

Since the consensus here and in the media is mostly that it's a given that they're taking Campbell, I'm going to predict everyone is wrong about that.

They will draft need which will be one of the best players available in Will Campbell. I don't see them taking a WTF? pick at #4 as this franchise can't afford that risk. They need plug and play guys for Drake Maye and Vrabel. Richard Seymour in 2001 and Logan Mankins in 2005 were an aberration and not recommended to try at home. I can't name another team that did that and succeeded.
Seymour wasn’t a reach at all. Everyone had him exactly in that area of the draft.

#4. DL Graham - Michigan
#38. OT Simmons - Ohio State
#69. OL Grant - William and Mary
#77. Edge Stewart - Michigan
Simmons isn’t lasting until 38.

Who looked at Seymour as a WTF pick? Only the people who think every pick should be a WR.

I hope that whoever we draft as Starting LT doesn't ever have to play LG because they're that solid, or hopefully much better than that at LT.

I believe we are taking Campbell at number 4, if we do not find a trade partner! I still believe Dallas wants the Boise running back badly, but unless someone else shows huge interest as well, Dallas has no reason to trade with us

Trade down. New boss. Same as the old boss.

Well the last time we selected a guard with our 4th pick it turned out to be “ok” - he’s in the “HOF” the one with the “Gold” jacket, and is known as one of the best guards of all time. Not saying that Campbell would be another J. Hannah but it wouldn’t be the end of the world should he switch to guard and have a long successful career. End of the world might be another year of V. Lowe however….

I think it’ll be Campbell, but there’s so many good players available at #4, they could shock us with Jeanty or maybe Warren. I really am a HUGE Warren fan, he would be so beneficial for Maye and the team. He’s a good blocker, so he’d help the line, and a great pass catcher, so he’d help Maye.

I’ve been watching a bunch of old Pat’s games, Grogan with Russ Francis, and I see a young Drew Bledsoe loving having TE Ben Coates, and Tom Brady loving having Gronk. Not saying Warren is as good as either, but he certainly has the talent to become one of the best TEs in football (I’d hate to see the Jets get him).

Hooper and Henry are both 31, Hooper is only on a 1 year contract, and Warren is the best pass catcher in the draft after Travis Hunter. I would love if they drafted Warren at 4 (none of this trade down BS, he might not be there if we trade down).

Brain says Campbell at 4

Heart is telling me Jeanty at 4
Trade up to 20-25 for Conerly.
Bech in the 3rd
DL/Edge in the 4th

Cambell does make a lot of sense.

What will the Patriots do at 4? Not what you'd do, but what will the Patriots do? If trade, with who and who would they then draft with the new position in the first round.

My prediction is Will Campbell for all the reasons that have been discussed here.
I'm going to say Travis Hunter falls to us and we draft him to be our #1 WR.

If both Hunter/Carter are gone we need to trade back.

Campbell will still be there as late as pick #10 if they still want to draft him with his stubby T-Rex arms.

I think they will try to trade down, either to the Saints at 9 because they want Sanders and he is still on the board at 4 or to the Bears at 10 because they see both of the top tackles gone by that point. The Pats then take whoever is left of Campbell, Membou, Jeanty, or Warren. Assuming neither team is willing to pony up the 2nd required to trade up, and this will not surprise me, they take Campbell though i prefer Membou.

Everyone seems to be predicting either Campbell or Jeanty. That might be the good outcome. The bad outcome would be the Eliot Wolf Special: trading down from the 4th pick to the Cowboys’ 12th pick (getting back the Cowboys’ 44th overall pick in return) and taking a guy like Shemar Stewart at 12, resulting in the whole fanbase imploding (myself included).
