I'm not opposed either.Unless they think a lot more of Caeden Wallace than most of us, I'd be very open to using two of their first four picks on tackles.

Let's hope nobody is eyeing Ozzy Trapilo in the Second and we get him in the Third.Unless they think a lot more of Caeden Wallace than most of us, I'd be very open to using two of their first four picks on tackles.
I know I have beat this drum to death, but they can't let him get to the Eagles at #64 from what I have read. I guess they have been a BC a lot. You're gonna have to part with either of the R3 picks or next year's R2 to go up and get him in R2.Let's hope nobody is eyeing Ozzy Trapilo in the Second and we get him in the Third.
Dam it Eagles.I know I have beat this drum to death, but they can't let him get to the Eagles at #64 from what I have read. I guess they have been a BC a lot. You're gonna have to part with either of the R3 picks or next year's R2 to go up and get him in R2.
If we kick him inside and used the 4 pick he better be Steve Hutchinson good.I'm kinda on the Greg Bedard program on this. You know he's a high character guy, a leader, and a culture setter. Those things matter, as does playing. If they draft him as a LT and they have to kick him inside and they double dip with an Ersery, Grant or Conerly, and then the line is fixed, I really don't care that they kicked him inside if the line is fixed.

They can't let Ozzy get past the mid-2nd round. Great value and great flexibility. He was good at the Senior bowl at LT and RT. HUGE upgrade over Lowe if Ozzy has to play LT because of injuries (see the Chiefs using a guard, Thuney, in the 2024 SB).I know I have beat this drum to death, but they can't let him get to the Eagles at #64 from what I have read. I still maintain they know if he's a Day 1 starter or not already. If he is, they'll go skill position R1 and then Ozzy at #38. If he's their guy, they won't try to get cute and chess/checkers the rest of the league like someone we used to know. They can't let Ozzy get past the mid-2nd round. Great value and great flexibility. I don't necessarily disagree but not BPA.They can't let Ozzy get past the mid-2nd round. Great value and great flexibility. He was good at the Senior bowl at LT and RT. HUGE upgrade over Lowe if Ozzy has to play LT because of injuries (see the Chiefs using a guard, Thuney, in the 2024 SB).
Agreed. It appears as though QB and OT are in such short supply that other teams are overdrafting them leaving a team using the BPA philosophy without Tackles. Unfortunate, but true.I don't necessarily disagree but not BPA.
Banks is also considered by some to be a guard BTWThat's the problem with everyone else, too. I'd love them to be able to trade back and take him or Banks in the top 10 and gain a second round pick, but I just don't see there being a demand for other teams to move up to 4 unless Hunter or Carter are there.
I have him as a guard and Campbell a tackle. Initially I had both at G but Campbell will get every shot imaginable to play tackle so I'm moving him there.Banks is also considered by some to be a guard BTW
Music to my ears.I have him as a guard and Campbell a tackle. Initially I had both at G but Campbell will get every shot imaginable to play tackle so I'm moving him there.
Also Logan Brown is a guy to keep an eye on if we pass on tackle early. Athletically and in terms of value he's close to the top on my ptp board.
Logan Brown is definitely on the radar. Another guy I like late is Caleb Rogers.I have him as a guard and Campbell a tackle. Initially I had both at G but Campbell will get every shot imaginable to play tackle so I'm moving him there.

The big advantage of taking a LT at 4 is it unlocks 3 other picks that could be contributors or even starters. Taking a edge guy mean the patriots must trade up and that carries its own risks. It depends. Kicking him inside is an admission that it’s a wasted pick in most cases. You can find an excellent guard in the 2nd or 3rd round. Are they moving him in training camp? Are they doing it mid season after a rough outing or two ? Or are they doing it next offseason when an opportunity presents itself to get another excellent tackle. If the latter it’s fine, if the former than we blew the pick.
I also would hate the idea of drafting Campbell and also adding a second tackle on day 2 as insurance. You either feel confident he can play the position or you don’t.
I’ve come round to the idea of taking Campbell as the process has gone on but I still have concerns. Plus the arm length will be a conversation forever more. When he gets beat round the corner in OTAS, or training camp, or his first pre season outing. Everyone will constantly be discussing his arm length and whether he needs to go to guard. I’d love my top 5 pick not to have that type of question mark around him.
Thinking of MankinsI'm kinda on the Greg Bedard program on this. You know he's a high character guy, a leader, and a culture setter. Those things matter, as does playing. I just want to get going and get to Thursday.Thinking of Mankins
If we get a good LT then it’s a big deal
If we get a great LG like Mankins then it’s a big deal
Either way we get a locker room Leader
My favorite time of yearI just want to get going and get to Thursday.
