No indication Detroit is willing to trade him so might be a little premature.
Compensation would be tricky on this one since he was a high pick still on his rookie deal. And he really only has the one good season last year. So Detroit would want good compensation and Williams seemingly wants to get paid.
Not sure I'd want to pay up on both ends for him. Can probably satisfy Detroit with some deal like a 3rd rounder this year and another next year if based on production like a 4th that's turns into a 3 if he hits certain marks. But satisfying Williams would be trickier and probably why they are in this position now.
