They probably offered him a deal before he finishes his rookie deal, and one that's well below what Chase and Higgins got. He's probably just having a tantrum. The Lions may have no intention of parting with this kid.

He’s not a number 1 on the Lions, but will likely want to be paid like a 1. They have enough horsepower and have a lot of good players that will require big contracts. Sewell, Hutchinson, and St. Brown will all be looking for contracts over $30m in the next few years. I could see them moving him.
