Would you trade #4 for AJ Brown and pick 32?

Maybe I'm wrong, but IMO, Pop needs to SEE the spot, get to the Spot, and SIT THERE...not move because he feels a bigger play is available.
Boutte and pop are both young player with talent that have gotten better amid ****ty situations last 2 season. I really like them both and they will continue to grow and develop under Josh. Prior to diggs I'd say Boutte would be considered the #

Boutte skill set and body type is not that of a premier slot WR. Pop is.. he's quicker, shifter, had great hands and can separate from defenders. Pop will thrive under Josh.
I do hope that you're right. He hasn't exactly inspired confidence in me. I don't know about Boutte, whether in the slot or elsewhere (although he has exceeded his draft status).

This is so not happening. Typical pre draft bs rumor

Even if, and that's a BIG IF, Carter is there at #4 (which in of itself although not impossible, is highly improbable), then such a conversation regarding almost any team can be had (not just the Eagles). Every year these rumors and various scenario's occur. Yes, some do actually come true, but the majority often come to nothing. At the end of the day, if the Patriots nail this draft (which is what I always hope, but hasn't been the case for the last few years) then I don't care how they do it. I just want solid talent (and yes, especially at positions that we NEED filled), to be addressed. It's then incumbent on the coaching staff to utilize said talent to their fullest potential.

This is one of the more ridiculous draft rumors I’ve heard in a long time

Right. But Boutte excells on deep post and he has big play abilities. I see your point on the players you mentioned. However not against Boutte in the slot but imo he's better utilized as a post, intermediate, sideline catch player. Pop and his skill set it best in the slot. Just my opinion. Go back to drake's first start he unlocked pop in the slot and Boutte on deep post plays. Same for Boutte in the Jacksonville game and in the Buffalo game. All 3 plays went for TDs.

I personally believe his best tool is his breaking routes. Hes also a decent blocker. Im not saying he should move to the slot full time, but id rather have him on the field in almost any situation over Douglas.

He gets there, and starts moving from what I see .
Maybe I see different...

They'd have to offer more than AJ Brown and 32 for number 4
Really? Isn’t Brown an all star, odds are the fourth overall pick becomes an average player but not an all star. I would make that deal.

He's had 500 plus yards in the 31st and 32nd offense in consecutive years. I imagine he can be a 100 catch guy or close to it under josh.

We also have to take into account pop and Boutte along with Henry we're really the only pass catcher able to at least have production. We were dismal on offense the past 2 seasons.

I like them both. 2 young guys that actually worked out as home grown talent. They both will be integral parts of the offense. I really like Boutte and how he can get deep behind top CBs.

OH, heck, it is fun to speculate. For Carter, we should get their first and second this year plus their first next year....at least that is where I could start bargaining.

It would be sort of insane because the Patriots would not get to pick a LT until the end of the first, but think of the extra picks. And the cap issues might be insurmountable. However the Patriots would have a very powerful offense for a change.

Directly helping the Eagles win another Super Bowl? Again? No thank you

If you take a player in the top 5, the expectation is that they're a 10-year starter and usually a multi-time pro-bowler.

That would be an absolutely massive trade down. Brown is elite, but Philly needs to toss in their 2nd at a minimum.

On the flip side, Brown + Diggs would be lethal, and pick 32 is still a good spot to get a decent starting LT.
I normally would want more. But this isn’t really a top heavy draft, but is nice in depth.

If you don’t take Carter, you’re not missing out on a ton at the top compared to what you can get in the late 1st.

I mean, what does it matter? It's 3 years before we'll be in contention again anyway, assuming everything goes well.

I think they can compete for a wild card this coming season. I expect them to compete for the division in 26’, and in 27 my hope is they can become an actual contender for the Lombardi ( final 4)

Solution: SOLID (or better) OL (including backups). At least 1 WR from this draft that's NOT a short and/or exclusively a Slot WR (a Higgins, Ayomanor, Etc. type will do). A Week 1 Starting Caliber RB and the same regarding Dual-Threat/3rd Down RB.
