NFL Draft Talk

I am a big fan of Higgins, this narrative started when matt harmon dropped his reception perception.

He is very smooth and has good releases vs press. Very reliable hands and route salesman with head fakes and foot fire.

Higgins is my 4th Wr, but he is not scheme independent. Meaning he will have to be used a certain way, limit comebacks, curls and hitches.
I realized that I said good releases vs press. I misspoke, his releases and when he challenges leverages better vs off man.

All my mocks I take him in with the 4th rd pick. His measurables are that of an All Pro OT. That is worth the risk in the 4th
Wild, since they’ve kept his stock roughly around round 5-6.

Mocks never get every prospect right. There are always risers and fillers.

I prefer mocking with slight trade backs and having a mid to late 4th instead of using the Pats 4th rd pick on him

I don’t know how you can watch Dart and think that he is an NFL caliber quarterback. Comparing him to a quarterback who can’t pass the ball is setting the bar quite low.
Dude you're clueless as BB Drafting WR's.

I just saw a mock that had us take Membou at 4 and then trade 38, 69 and a 2026 5th to move to 21 and we took Luther Burden. Not sure how I feel about that. I like Membou but I am not a fan of Burden and giving up picks to get him hurt me in my football nerd soul. lol

Like the Membou pick but I hate the trade up for Burden.

I heard some disappointing reviews on Ersery, and dropped him down as a result, but those are really impressive RAS numbers.
If there are 6 potential starting OTs in the draft, he's the 6th.
I won't cry if we end up with him, however.

Obviously, Hunter & Will Johnson are special talents. However, Hairston & Notre Dame’s Benjamin Morrison (if he can recapture his pre-injury form) & ECU’s Shavon Revel also have the ability to become game breakers at the next level. Also, I love KSU’s Jacob Parrish in the slot; although he’s not too shabby on the outside.

Hairston's gonna be an absolute steal for someone.

QB at 2 now?

Browns def taking Carter/Hunter
Really? You’re sold the HC who’s fighting for his job wants to roll into the season with Flacco and Pickett? Talk about making your fanbase even more miserable being Browns fans. I think this can go either way, definitely taking a QB at 2 or definitely not taking a QB at 2.

Field Yates on Will Campbell

The number of evaluators who are unbothered by Will Campbell's arm length really stands out to me. I was hard pressed to find an exec or coach who doesn't view LSU's Campbell as the best tackle of this class, and those same people told me his length wasn't a concern on tape. I'm not ignoring his 32⅝-inch arm length from the combine, but most people I talked to are bullish on Campbell becoming a really good left tackle. He has excellent footwork, balance and body control to hold up as a pass protector.

Sanders has been evaluated as a fringe starter. No one is taking him in top 3 picks
Its not happening

Not a great qb draft this year so they are filling in with bridge qb’s like the giants because they know they will still suck and get a high draft pick again and then go top 3 qb

Its mostly the Media, fans and data analytic folks that are screaming about him being a LG because of his arm length. I think he will be an average LT in the NFL, which is better than we have but not sure 4th pick worthy. I get that you can only draft the players that are there but to me he has some red flags that are concerning.

There are a couple of concerns, the wingspan being the...ahem...biggest...but there aren't really any prospects that are better and cleaner. There's Jeanty's positional value, Graham's roster value, Walker being a tweener and Membou's need to switch. The biggest argument for me in favour for me is that it means we don't have to worry about whether Conerly falls or whether we can trade up. Just get the LT issue out of the way. If there was a clean quality prospect available then sure, take him over Campbell/Membou but I'm not convinced that player exists outside the usual two.
