Here are my hopes for the upcoming season:

- That the injury bug has moved on. Particularly for Christian Gonzalez and Marcus Jones.
- That Christian Barmore's issues with blood clots are a thing of the past.
- That Diggs does actually help Polk/Baker/Boutte/Douglas reach their potential.
- That whomever the Pats add at OT, RB, and D-line are at least the quality of the likes of Mike Vrabel, Sebastian Vollmer, Ty Warren and Kevin Faulk.

Bringing in a Vrabel, Vollmer, Warren and Faulk in one draft is a tall order.

I am hoping for a meaningful game in week 18. That will be my litmus test for success.
There's a very good chance our week 18 game against Buffalo will be meaningful.

For Buffalo.

Most of all I hope to see a head coach during games actually communicating with players and other coaches, coaching the players, understanding the game situation that has presented itself and acting on it, you know a coach coaching.

I want t see a tough, physical and aggressive defense that keeps the scores down and keep the team in games.

An offense that looks looks like it knows how to line up, a physical running game, and Drake Maye is comfortable in Josh’s offense, also he is sliding more.

A left tackle who is actually protecting Drakes backside.

8-9 or better.

Am I hoping for too much here? LOL!

I just want the Pats to play efficient football, lower the turnover rate, and play an attacking, aggressive , angry style of defense.

I want them to play competitive ball, leave everything on the field. I think having Vrabel brings at least 2 more wins than last year, hopefully 4 or 5 more.

I want to see a really good 2025 draft from the Pats. I’d like to see them land 3-4 starters. Don’t trade down, they have plenty of picks.

Just improve over the last 2 years. That’s all I want. I don’t expect miracles.

To play sound fundamental football and not beat themselves. They will be well coached.

To markedly improve talent, especially at LT and the rest of the OL. Protect The Franchise.

To win 7-8 games. Twice the number of wins sounds reachable.

I foresee the Pats knocking on the 8 win door.

Maye is a year older and somewhat seasoned to the NFL game. He did not look totally overwhelmed at all last year IMO. I see the Pats QB of the future, but that means little to nothing because Phil Rivers was that guy too. Years Phil toiled away amounting to 5hit. Vrabel will be a better HC because he has the experience that Mayo lacked.

This franchise is climbing up out of the gutter. 31st rated NFL team per NFLPA.

I lot of the feels will be tied to Maye’s progress IMO.

For Maye to have twice as many TDs than TOs. Last year he had 17 TDs and 16 TOs.
2 players with 8 or more sacks
Boutte and Polk to each have at least 50 catches
But mostly for Barmore to be healthy

My only expectation and hope? 1/10th the number of dead ball procedure and poorly timed holding fouls by the OL. That alone will immeasurably improve this offense. How many 2d and 5s became 2d and 15s? How many 1st and 20s? Huge momentum changing plays called back?

This one change alone would equal likely 2-3 more wins alone.

That Maye come out of the season perfectly uninjured and healthy, while making tangible progress towards being the true Franchise QB that we think/hope that he is.

More of this

I know it wasn't a catch but I want more competitive reps in bounds

And more of this

I want to be able to watch the offense and not cringe while I mutterm WTF?
Sustained drives, belief in the Offensive capabilities, unpredictable plays and better protection for our QB... then to show our D is a physical force to be reckoned with.
All of this combined with quality coaching may lead to a 7-9 win season..

I lot of the feels will be tied to Maye’s progress IMO.
Absolutely. The last 4 years we have had opportunities to win games, and the QB's, Newton, Mac and Maye have squandered those opportunities with bad fumbles and interceptions. Maye must break that tendency for his future and the team's future.
