Sanders having a great pro Day.

That doesn’t bode well for Hunter dropping to 4.
But maybe Carter?
Sanders will go to Cleveland or The Giants. Shedeur already has customized NYG cleats made haha. Lastly, both of these organizations have coaching staffs/GMs with their jobs on the line. The Wilson/Winston deals are short term backup type deals with easy voids if they decide to go another route. They’re taking QBs if available; plus imagine the marketing & excitement from fans knowing their new young “franchise QB/son of living legend Deion Sanders is in the building. Especially in NYC. One of Hunter or Carter will fall to 4.

They need a QB..

Rumors are Kirk Cousins is going there after the draft. Supposedly the Browns are gonna sign Cousins when the draft is over and will not be drafting a quarterback.

The main issue is he needs to be released instead of traded as the contract is not tenable in a trade
I think that will happen because they won’t be able to trade him and they might as well get him off the books quicker rather than drag cap hit out
Would Browns brass telling Garrett about a plan for Cousins (after how he played last year) elicit the response Garrett gave us?

I still feel they sold him on Sanders.

I’d be surprised if the browns don’t end up trading for Cousins.
Haslam has apparently already made it clear that he has no intention of taking on Cousins' guaranteed money in a trade, after the Watson debacle. I don't blame him.

The Browns CAN have both.

Give the Pats your #1 next year and your #2 this year and you can draft Sanders at #4.
It would need to be more than just that to justify the trade. On the off-chance that the Browns surprise and have a strong year (like they did in 2023), that Cleveland 2026 1st rounder could end up in the 20s. Then you just traded the 4th overall pick in 2025 for the 2025 33rd overall and 2026 20th (or something) overall pick. It’s not a guarantee that the Browns are picking high again next year or that next year’s draft class will be any better. That’s not a good trade for us, the #4 is worth more even if we’re not sure who that should be. As the saying goes, the bird in the hand is worth more than two in the bush.

So essentially you’re saying that they convert their second round pick this year to a top 5 pick by just giving up one future first (which is statistically not likely to be a top 5 pick)? That would be the most lopsided draft trade in history. The whole pats staff would get fired on the spot.

No way dude, what pro day were you watching?

Guy DID NOT miss, and the nothing was wobbly, not his passes, not my penis when i was watching it. Zip all the way through, right on the cue

Hunter looked great, but if you asked me, there are 3 blue chip players, Carter, Hunter AND Sanders

No way Ward goes first pick
I watched the whole official viewing
The commentator kept saying he’s had some wobbly passes but that one was the tightest spiral yet
The NFL is salivating on the QB’s with speed to leave the pocket and also gain yards by his feet
He also is accurate
The only off platform throw was a 2 yard behind the back pass
The NFL is salivating on the QB’s with speed to leave the pocket abd gain yards with his feet
They also want to see a strong arm and off platform throws
That’s not his strong suit
His strengths are more on par with Bo Nix not Drake Maye
We will see how teams perceive that

I can see a scenario where Shedeur stock just go up all the way until the draft. It always happens with QBs.
If he’s on the board at 4 and we aren’t holding a team ransom to draft frickin Campbell then we are doomed to have lackluster drafts.

I am now totally convinced that Sanders will NOT be picked in the top 3 and we will not get Carter or Hunter (either would be ideal). So I guess I'll spend the next 2 plus weeks trying to rap my head around what we will do on day one.

Now I don't believe that anyone we will pick with #4 will be a disaster. It's just that it won't be the blue chipper who would help take away the pain of the 24 season.

Ward, Carter and Hunter are going to be the top 3, but who will be #4 will have at least a half dozen names and trade scenarios attached to it. When you draft in the 20's and 30's or even in the teens, you are rarely the subject of national attention in the draft season. Now the Pats are going to be in speculation heaven in the couple of weeks leading up to the day. Will they trade down? Will they take the OT? Will they take the DT, or the WR, or the Edge guy, etc

Strap 'em on guys. It's going to be a wild few weeks.

Either way I’m ecstatic he had a great pro day and put his name back in the big boy mix.

It bodes well for us two fold. Ideally, landing Carter or Hunter is what the majority of the fan base want.

If that falls through, at least it brings the possibility of a good haul of picks back on the table for the Pats. Many were starting to question if they had any suitors. Hopefully this eases the possibility of that happening if we don’t land the blue chippers.

If we blunder this it will be a huge blow.

I just watched the whole Pro Day
He is nothing special
I mean he was on target with most of his throws
I seen a lot of Wobbly balls, lot of loft balls, under-thrown balls not much power to his throws.
He does not lack confidence
Hunter made a few reaching back catches from a few underthrown balls to make the catch look easy
Looked like a basic and safe Pro Day
I didn't watch the pro day but looking at some clips posted on here, his passes did not look crisp, they looked wobbly and soft. I envisioned lots of interceptions.

Was he taller, bigger, explosive, did he run the forty or agility drills?

Passing in shorts is not too informative, not more than game tape. I know people really want him to move up ahead of the Pats on the board but it’s wishful thinking based on pro day.

Speaking of QBs:

On the spot,

EDIT wait 2 picks total? eeeeeeehhh maybe in some spots

It would take multiple 1st rounders. That's for sure. The Browns could turn into the Commanders after acquiring two top level talents in Sanders and Hunter.

I'd rather just take Hunter if he slips through because the Browns will need a new QB. I think it's becoming a real possibility Sanders goes #2 now.

Well, we can tweak what picks to get back, I’m just throwing out the idea of trading the pick, with a #1 pick from a probable bad team next year as part of the package.

It's so many picks that I'm not going to do all of the math, I got this far than stopped:

4 for '25 2nd,3rd; '26 1st,2nd,3rd....and more
