First Meaningless 2025 Mock

I love the idea of Barron in our secondary and then with Watts too, good luck passing on us. Frankly, I love that mock - I do like the idea of strengthening strengths.

Yes. Totally agree. This is also a BPA done really well!
QB's and WR's would dread playing us. Just no way to scheme your way out of it. Many ways to go about the draft. I like the position were inn, in regards to that.

Very good but how do we not come away with at least 1 DL from this class!

Just maybe the deep RB and DL classes will cause a little distraction for scouts and GM's causing players at other positions to slip through the cracks. Especially if they start to go on a run a little earlier then expected. Were in a position where we don't absolutely need those positions. A early run on those positions would be a good thing for us IMO.

What strengths do we have?

We'll get a decent DL as a UDFA.

Given some of the comments from Wolf and Kraft at the owners meeting, I feel very strongly that our first three picks will be something like Campbell, Higgins, Henderson. We’d need to trade up I think to snag Henderson but Sampson could be the back up at 69 if we can’t swing that. You could equally do Campbell, Henderson, Noel too.

It just seems like OT, WR and RB are the top priorities.

I wouldn't rule out an edge rusher considering the interest in Scourton and Kennard and then there's the Trapilo question.

I'm starting to wonder whether Jack Bech might be the pick at WR. Matches the Vrabel requirements for WR and character and reminds me a bit of Chris Godwin as a super reliable possession WR who does everything right.

Completely agree. And I’d add Vrabels comments as well, everything points to those 3 positions being the main focus. At least there’s a vision.

I’m guessing they could double dip at OT.
Didn’t think about that comp for Bech, that’s a really good one! I’d love Bech, I think he’s floor is super high.

Todays Mock. Me like!
Did this with a single trade back in the first to 12. Gave up Carter at 4 to do so. Also traded our 2026 4th round pick to move up to get Henderson.

Trying to think about what actually might happen if Carter and Hunter are gone, how would you feel about these first four rounds?

4. Will Campbell, OT, LSU

38. Treveyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State

69. Ozzy Trapilo, OT, Boston College

77. Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa State or Kyle Williams, WR, Washington State

106. Femi Oladejo, EDGE, UCLA

I also like Jack Bech or Jayden Higgins as a fit so an alternative may be something like this:

4. Will Campbell

38 (poss with trade down) Jayden Higgins or Jack Bech

69. Ozzy

77. Kyle Kennard, Josaiah Stewart, Ashton Gillotte

106. Interior OL?

144. Brashard Smith or LeQuint Allen

Which would you prefer?

I'd prefer taking the WR early but if Omarion Hampton were to fall that might change the calculus lol

I like Kyle Williams, so first one for me. But would not complain as second one has Jack Bech, who I also like.

They quoted on Sportstalk radio some study that since 2011, there have been something like 39 OT's picked with arms shorted than 33" have never wound up at LT.. consider the source.
Unfortunately I cannot find that "study", but if so it eliminates Campbell..
If Membou is still there he might be a better choice, if he has been picked then trade back a bit and go for Tyler Warren then LT (Connerly or Ersery)... followed by WR's..

It would for me too but he's just getting too much first round buzz for me to hope that he does. Also, while I don't think they'd turn their noses up at Hampton, I'm working on the theory that we're looking to add speed to the offense which would explain the interest in the likes of Sampson, Noel and Williams.

I don't think it does eliminate Campbell because he had 33" at his pro day and if you account for the fact that 43 of 46 OL measured at the combine had longer arms at their pro days, clearly something went wrong at the combine. His wingspan is still an issue though.

I'd be happy with both. I think they could go in a different direction at 38 and get a RB later, but i'd be ecstatic with the first one.

Fun fact, Hampton comp in his combine page is Rhamondre.
