Why do folks think that the Giants would pick Sanders at 3. Is it simply because we wish them to make a very poor choice/

Is Sanders even the 2nd best QB available after Ward?

I submit that the Giants have two choices: trade down or draft Hunter. They should be able to get Sanders or Dart later in the top 10. If they are nervous, then they shouldn't trade down too far.

I still think the Browns are taking Sanders at 2.

1 Rookie QB only way to move on given the Watson cap situation
2 he fits Stefankski's offense
3 They told garrett they know the plan at QB
4 Do the words Kenny Pickett mean anything to you?
5 Carter isnt without risks - injuries, rumoured for surgery day after draft

Hunter to NYG.

what are the chances the Giants are going to be at the top of the draft next year? slim... Wilson will do just enough in NY that they won't be in contention for the Manning Sweepstakes thats coming in the 2026 draft

If that is a correct read, then the Giants are now looking at getting a top of the draft rookie QB no earlier than 2027... thats why they take Sanders at the 3 spot

thats why I think they take Sanders... of course, if the browns don't take carter and do take sanders/ward, then the gints will take either carter or hunter... no idea on which one

The simple answer is the Raiders at 6 could take him.

If they want Sanders that leaves some room to maneuver but not much. Other teams could move up too.

I'm kind of with you though I don't think Sanders goes as high as people think.

Sanders has a weak arm, is not very mobile and takes a lot of sacks. Only positive is extremely low turnover rate.
He also comes with Deion baggage. No way he is picked in top 3.
He has Mac Jones like talent

In all likelihood, these factors work against us.

1. Sanders is not just viewed as some can't miss QB prospect and it seems like teams really aren't high on him.
2. The Giants have a pretty full QB room and can afford to pass this year on a project they aren't crazy about and get an actual talent they can have longterm that is more of a sure thing.
3. The Browns are still locked in that ****ty Watson contract and probably need a year or two to really be ready to move on and Sanders again isn't the guy that's going to accelerate that.

Looking likely Hunter will be off the board at #3 says some of the NFL insiders. A bit over 3 weeks until it all unfolds.

Carter is also a luxury for the Browns. They already heave on of the best and highest paid pass rushers. Now…I could see them taking Hunter leaving us to decide on Carter.

Worst case is Hunter/Carter gone before 4 obviously because odds are poor anyone trades up for Sanders.

If the Browns take Sanders, who do the Giants take ? Do they pass up Carter ? Do they take Hunter when they have a bunch of receivers, do they use him at CB and part time WR ? So many possibilities.

There is no Deion baggage. That's a dumb media talking point that does not exist. Deion just signed a new huge contract with CO and isn't in this picture. Its just not accurate to claim Shedeur has just one positive. He actually processes the field quickly. He is accurate in the short and intermediate game. The dude is tough. He had a horrible O-line last year and got pummeled, but got right back up and went on to the next play. He has a quick release. He will do will in a timing-based offense that emphasizes quick decisions. That is his game.

With so few talented players on the team for the last two seasons, I’d rather have a high % of getting a B+ player, rather than a 50% shot at an A+ player.

It’s difficult to guess what teams above NE will do. One of the reasons they’re in this position is a history of bad decisions (looking at you, Browns). So when a bad team, employing bad evaluators, has a high pick, many prefer a splash. Shedeur brings potential : on & off the field. Some GM might convince himself it’s the right call. Wouldn’t be close to the iffiest draft logic, historically.

The only pick I feel good about predicting : Cam Ward @1.

Sam...watch a game, I'm begging you.

You were here two days ago talking about how he turned the ball over too much.

Sanders has an average arm, is accurate, he's plenty mobile. He does take a lot of sacks, but his o-line was Patriots-level.

I think Sanders can develop into a starter, but he's not there yet, and he's never going to be a top-10 QB kind of guy.

He's got an average arm, is pretty accurate, and is safe with the ball. Mac Jones kind of had one of those skills.

LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You tell someone to "watch a game" and then say "he's plenty mobile"??!? Are you f'ing trolling??

Anyone who says Shedeur is "plenty mobile" is the one not watching the games. Shedeur's career rushing stats at Colorado are 211 carries for NEGATIVE 127 yards. Yes, I know sacks are counted as rushes in college, hence the negative number, but it is beyond pathetic that his grand total is a negative number.

The guy had zero mobility and zero escapability in his Big 12 schedule. Although in all fairness he'll probably do better in the pros because he will get sacked right away before he has time to run backwards 10 yards and then get sacked like he did so often in college.

Anyone else like... The Giants.. Of course it's the fking Giants deciding our fate.. Ugh

Fk Mayo what a jerk

I think Sanders will go top 3. If your at the top of the draft and don't have a QB that you are projecting to lead the team for the next 5 years; I think the temptation is great to pick one. I think the Browns take him. I also think Dart goes in round 1 probably higher then predicted in mocks

Should the Pats trade UP in the draft ? Try to trade up with Cleveland at 2 ? Maybe sweeten the deal and make Joe Milton part of the trade so they get a QB prospect. It’s so imperative that the Pats land Travis Hunter. This changes your whole team around and gives you a third superstar to add along with Gonzalez and Maye, in fact it helps Maye become a superstar.

To say he has 'zero mobility' is actually insane.

Nobody's saying he's Lamar Jackson. He's a pocket passer, but to say he has zero mobility is just wrong. You'd have to say Cam Ward has zero mobility too (a dude who actually refuses to run unless there are zero other options).

"Zero mobility and zero escapability"

Supposedly Milroe won’t go past the second.
The Giants are in a terrible position if they don’t reach for Sanders at 3 he’s gone at 6, Dart could go top 10. Giants may find themselves looking for a Rookie QB in 2026, if they don’t get their guy this draft.

But if they pass on Hunter Patriots should pounce.
They can’t really trade down either if they want Sanders or Dart.

Cam Ward: 406 yards rushing
Shedeur Sanders: NEGATIVE 127 yards rushing

Yeah great comparison there.

Besides Shedeur is very talented at running backwards. I have never seen a college QB so skilled at turning a 6 yard sack into a 14 yard sack.

"Zero mobility and zero escapability"

ohhhh!! one play against Nebraska!!! oh whoa!! that sure eliminates the NEGATIVE 127 yards rushing he had the past 3 years!!!
