That last quote from Diggs was so good.

Phil Perry: “You mentioned legacy. Your time in New England will be successful if you do… what?”

Diggs: “If I stay healthy. The rest will take care of itself.”

Then walks off because that was the last question. Dude has some real swagger.
It was enlightening to see him for the 1st time up close and personal.

A very strong-minded man.

I hated Diggs when he was with the Bills. Especially after that game at Gillette when he had the interaction with fans in the end zone. I love that here's here now. It reminds me of when we signed Moss and how everyone said he was a cancer. The spring before we signed him I suggested it on an AOL Patriots forum and was told to put down the crack pipe by nearly all of the contributors of that forum. BB would never sign Moss...
Your right. It feels reminiscent of when moss came.. I don't even think most fans even had moss on thier radar as he was still under contract. Moss was unhappy having Ken Walter as QB.. we know the rest is history... literally...

? Ken Walter was our punter for SB 36

Talking about his Instagram picture of Vrabel from his playing days: “yeah I told coach he was young and handsome… he still is kinda young, I don’t know about handsome though”

Somebody is going to have to explain how it makes any sense to include the game day active roster bonuses in the initial report of $26M guaranteed.

• $16.6 million fully guaranteed.
• $22.6 million guaranteed for injury.

• $18.5 million in 2025
$12.0 million signing bonus (fully guaranteed).
$2.9 million base (fully guaranteed).
$3.4 million in per-game roster bonuses.
$200K workout bonus.

• $22.5 million in 2026
$20.6 million base ($1.7 million fully guaranteed, $6 million more guaranteed for injury).
$1.7 million in per-game roster bonuses.
$200K workout bonus.
$6 million injury guaranteed becomes fully guaranteed next March.

• $22.5 million in 2027
$20.6 million base.
$1.7 million in per-game roster bonuses.
$200K workout bonus.

• $4 million in 2025 performance incentives
$500K at 70, 80, 90, and 100 receptions.
$500K at 1,000, 1,100, 1,200, and 1,300 yards.

• $500K Pro Bowl incentive in each year

---

Very reasonable contract for the Patriots. Basically a one-year deal with a Patriot's option for two more, each at a very reasonable rate compared with the going rate for good receivers. Heavy on incentives, light on guarantees.

I'd call it a win-win - let's hope he earns his incentives!

Only $16.6M fully guaranteed and a cost to cut after the coming season of $1,7M. Credit where it's due, Wolf did pretty well on this one
Better breakout here:

Yet another example of why people should not make judgments about an "overpay" until all of the contract details are revealed. They can't help themselves, though. Have to get those negative takes out there ASAP, facts be damned.

Great list -- I might swap True Detective Season 1 with Band of Brothers, And add in Boardwalk Empire?
I forgot Boardwalk Empire. I also forgot about Deadwood, 24, Justified and a few more.

The problem judging some shows, like True Detective and Fargo, is that they were short and the last seasons sucked.

They are childish. They are asinine. They are an alternative to actual thought followed by actual expression. Perhaps your post demonstrates the dismal results when those who suffer from a need for such crutches attempt to express themselves in an adult manner, using words. It might indeed be best for you to stick to posting pictures. As for your adolescent compulsion to "push the buttons" of those who do not share your limitations, that is an embarrassment you would do well to overcome.
You're a retired university professor if I remember correctly. Did you deduct points when your students used visual aids to enhance their presentations?

I've never cared about the money player's make but it's impossible to ignore with all of the attention it gets.

Ok so hes a ~$25m cap hit in '25 and ~$6m in '26 plus whatever non-guarantees that year and in the future.

I'm sure i'm off but the deal seems like a win-win
8.7 mill in 2025
26.5 in 2026
26.5 in 2027

I think this off-season, and this contract should put to rest any concerns people have had as to whether this coach/ front office know what they are doing. A team that was literally riddled with holes when the season ended is now heading into the draft with one glaring need, left tackle, and that will be addressed in the draft. That doesn’t make them world beaters, but it does mean they have done a great job in free agency, and will be in much better shape come September.
